Correction: Stonewall Manor was built by Bennett Bunn. He was the Uncle of my great, great, great Grandfather who was the first Mayor of Rocky Mount, NC. , Benjamin Bunn [who owned Benvenue and my Black ancestors].

How is it like living there?

This is the tourist version. My family lived there for generations, and I spent my boyhood summers there in the 70s and go back to see family regularly. My grandfather was the first black postman in Rocky Mount and has a street named after him. Its a typical smallish southern town. quiet and slow with some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Its facing the same crime and addiction problems the rest on the country faces, so some parts can be sketchy and its got nicer suburbs now too. Be warned, BBQ is its own food group and the fried chicken haunts visitors when they go home its so good. You can gain 10 pounds in a week. IF I have my way, when I retire, I'll leave Detroit and move to Rocky Mount.

@@realtalkrealreviews5061 The best advice I can give you is not to come to RM. It is riddled with crime. Multiple shooting during the week, lot of drugs, for a small town, it has too much and can rival bigger cities.
