I love Yellowstone... Grand Prismatic Lake is something to behold! I love the boardwalk around Old Faithful, but it was hot and I wish I had brought an umbrella.

I decided to get the Gypsy Guide, now called Guide Along, based on your recommendation. It was great! We plan to use it as we travel to several other National Parks.

at 9:58 what i believe what you were talking about is how a variety of smaller and larger geysers in that area are interconnected. Therefore there is a lot of unique interactions, such as one smaller geyser on one side indicating that the larger one on the other side may erupt soon, and also that one geyser near the large one can stop an eruption from happening.. Sadly the one that you saw erupting essentially goes off non stop more or less

When you exit East, out of Yellowstone you can take the Bear Tooth Hwy, fun drive. Heather you need sunscreen dude. Every time you're out you get red buddy! Have Fun, be Safe!

When you were talking about Steamboat geyser there is a bit of a pattern to it erupting, but very vague. People can very vaguely predict if it is able to erupt because it requires there to be minor eruptions. Also, the activity occasionally picks up over time leading up to an eruption. Also, i believe the board saying there was an eruption earlier that day may have been wrong because when it erupts it lasts a long time, as in around a day. Also when it erupts it stops minor activity from it for a while, which you saw as well That being said as of this comments post, it sadly seems that Steamboat is exiting it phase of activity and may not erupt again for quite a while

the iceland geyse and na ones are nice, but personally YS is my favorite, it's not the most beautiful, but it has as im sure you know, by far the most. So usually you go somewhere and walk around, you will see something that you did not expect to see. For example in 2020 we just so happened to see Steamboat geyser go off when walking towards it. Then in 2021 we saw sawmill geyser the day of it waking up from a multi year slumber (it's the one at 4:29, it's not a massive one, but still fairly cool). Then in 2022 we saw Beehive geyser and old faithful erupt at the same time. The point is that you always see things that you do not expect

Wife and I enjoy your. Videos very much. Due to your videos, we think we want a 1st Gen transit connect. One technical question - what is the height from the floor to the roof in the bed area? Thanks.
@mikeandheather
@mikeandheather Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words and for watching, we really appreciate it! From 2010 to 2013 the Ford Transit Connects have a high roof which is why we went with an older model (ours is a 2013) over one of the newer Connects. From 2014 and beyond the roof height is significantly lower. From our floor to our wooden ceiling panels is 51.5 inches. This measurement does not include the insulation we put in the floor and the 3/4 inch plywood or the difference in ceiling height from the van roof to our wood boards which may be another inch or 2. So the true height of the interior is a little higher but because we added a floor and ceiling we lost a little bit of space. Hope that helps!
