never bathe the noodle babies in cold water. always lukewarm or warm. cold water can send em into shock among other bad things :c

Don't ever bathe them in cold water because if you do it can cause their body temperature to get really low and then they won't eat. Someone turned off the heaters to all five of my snake enclosure and only 2 of my 9 snakes ate. Also if you live in a place that gets really cold in the winter make sure you don't have your snake out for too long unless your house is at a somewhat warm temperature. The same thing. happens with lizards

A great video! You have a lovely snake. I know they don't feel love but it is a great feeling to see them be comfortable around you. I have a very shy corn snake who was given to me as a present from a breeder who did not want him (he is a classic and she only breeds special colours). The first weeks were complicated. He was scared easily and in the second he saw my hand he slithered away. Luckily he learnt I did not mean harm and yesterday he rolled up in my lap when I handled him for a bit. He hadn't been so relaxed ever before and it was a magical moment really.

Just a PSA about snake bathing Lukewarm water is fine but don't bathe your snake too often, it can stress them out. They are perfectly capable of staying clean themselves as long as you keep your tank reasonably clean of poo and change their water often. Don't handle, and definitely do not bathe a recently fed snake as they may throw up their meal. But if they get messy after eating (I had a mouse explode once) you can wait a few days and put them in a tub with shallow water. Don't push them under and don't fill the water over the height of the snake. If they freak out, it's not funny, take them out. Stress is bad for noodles. :)
