Hello this was so helpful. I finally get my American female Akita, who is 4 months old next Sunday. The breeder stated that she eats pedigree but I don't like pedigrees for dogs at all. What do other dog food do you recommend so that I can wing her off of pedigree?

Do you recommend a grooming table especially since Bending low is difficult for me? How do you get an large adult Akita on a grooming table anyway? I’ve had Akitas for 20 years but always took them to a groomer. But now I want to do it myself and especially have daily grooming sessions.

Is it normal for 1-month old akita to be hyper and wants to play bite people oftentimes? she also has pica.

Thanks for watching! It might be a case that they need more mental and physical stimulation. Trying increasing their daily exercise and see if that's makes a difference 😊
