A little Easter Egg for horror fans, Matthew Lillard’s performance as William Afton (specifically his Springtrap scenes) mirrors his only other major horror appearance in Scream as Stu Mache. Honestly, FNAF was probably the best videogame movie adaptation ever made. They put the game elements and references above all else, and didn't try to stray away for the sake of the general audience. @@AmirAniq-p7c but the movie already isn't going along with the timeline and exact canon of the game. Vanessa isn't Williams's daughter, Mike is his son, but that isn't happening in this. So although you could be right, I have a feeling they could switch that around.

I get the feeling that Garret is the second soul within Golden Freddy. While the movie isnt going on the same timeline and canon of the game, it still seems to follow some of its base rules. IF the same rules are being used, Golden Freddy would need a second soul to be able to behave like he does in the film, which in my opinion is Garret. I am leaning toward Garrett being the one to send the “Come Find Me” message, just cause Mike never accomplished the other goal he had in mind throughout most of the film: Finding Garrett. He never specifically said it, but just as the kid who possessed Freddy said, it’s what he wanted (albeit Mike changed his mind on this), he wanted his brother back. Can’t wait for the second movie, they said they wanted to make 3 films total, I hope that stays true.

Or perhaps the puppet is where garret is. Sometimes the names change in the series regarding the movie so they could definitely do it here. And since afton owned freddy fazbears and other chains: mike could technically find out from a woken up vanessa. Or maybe abby's friends tell her there's another place if children unable to rest.

@WreckageLive Жыл бұрын
@@bizzaroblake2519 that may be the case too. I think it’s too early to tell what it is, maybe we’ll get some insight sometime before the second movie, or maybe it’ll come out in hints from the usual sources (leaks, ARG posts, etc). I am mostly taking the message at face value by seeing who didn’t show up through the whole film, and Garrett is the most obvious one. I think the movies aren’t going to be as complicated in story telling like the books and games are, because it’s going to be shown to not just the community, but introducing it to the rest of the world, which also makes me think more that it’ll be revealed that Garrett is calling out to “come find” him. Of course, just a theory I’m thinking, so I can agree that it could be the puppet.

I saw the movie yesterday, and enjoyed it so much, and really thought they did a great job re-imagining the story for the big screen. I went with my wife who hasn't ever seen or played fnaf and she even enjoyed it. I do love how they added so many Easter eggs throughout the film, like Sparky the dog, but they did it in a very subtle way that it really was for the hardcore fans to find, and the non-fnaf fans wouldn't notice it, and just think it was a bunch of random parts, but not be confused by it at the same time.

Another book parallel I noticed was how Abby showed the kids what really happened using a drawing, something Carlton does in the final act of The Fourth Closet. Also, Aunt Jane being an obvious reference to Charlie’s Aunt Jen in the novels. Who knows, maybe mike’s dad was Henry and Garret became the puppet? That could be a really cool parallel and also a fantastic setup for a finale. I’m curious if they’re gonna do anything with Baby, that would be awesome

OHHH the drawing thing is a neat reference, you're right!! Although I'm not entirely sure if Aunt Jane is based off Aunt Jen, at least personality-wise? Here's a few other cool details that folks might've missed. (spoilers) - At the ice cream shop in the mall, there are a lot of rainbows with googly eyes and a happy face. This is a reference to Chica's Magic Rainbow from FNAF World - Afton playing the role of Phone Guy also references one of Game Theory's early FNAF theories that states that Purple Guy is Phone Guy. - Speaking of Game Theory, as you saw, MatPat is the waiter at Sparky's and his nametag reads "Ness," a reference to his Sans is Ness theory - The thug who gets killed by the cupcake was wearing a shirt with Midnight Motorist on it. Midnight Motorist is a minigame in FNAF6. - Vanessa being William's daughter may seem like a reference to Elizabeth, but his treatment to her as wanting her to become his successor directly parrels with Vanny and Glitchtrap in FNAF VR and Security Breach

Another really good hint of foreshadowing that I figured out is that William Afton in the beginning of the film has a very SPECIFIC outfit! Though it is washed out, his plaid shirt is a slight YELLOW, with his tie being PURPLE. Seems like a huge hint of foreshadowing that he was Springtrap, huh? Another thing I also realized, is that when he was reading Michael's name, he hesitated on the last name. This also hints that he recognizes the last name (since it was Garrett's last name as well) SHOWING that he in fact did have something to do with it in the beginning of the movie.

I loved this movie with everything in my heart. As a long time fan that has been watching fnaf content for 8+ years, I love the way it was brought to the big screen. The small differences between the characters was amazing, animatronics were done so perfectly. The Sparky/ dog animatronic, balloon boy, shadow Freddy, the one doll thing from the books was so cool to see. It had me clapping and screaming “oh my god look!🫵🏼”. Matt pat trolling us and seeing him show up had me freaking out lol. The story being a bit different didn’t bother me at all. The only thing that kinda got to me was how short Spring Bonny/ William Afton’s scenes were and that he didn’t really scream as much when getting Springlocked. I bet it would’ve been more graphic and scary if it was rated R. I give it a 9/10, really good film and can’t wait for the sequel. ʰᵉ ᵃˡʷᵃʸˢ ᶜᵒᵐᵉˢ ᵇᵃᶜᵏ

I'd hope that Garrett would have a lore purpose. I also wonder why he was taken at a park instead of Freddy's. Maybe this is a reference to how Charlie was killed outside and William sped away afterwards? Also, I just realized that he had a black car in the movie instead of the iconic purple cause purple would've been too obvious to fans. The style is about what you'd expect, though, since it looks about how people imagine William's car in Midnight Motorist
@boollye Жыл бұрын
same. there's also some other things: garrett's kidnapping seems very full of purpose -- why else would william go out of his way to kidnap a kid at a camping site? he also acted very weirdly when he saw mike's surname at the start of the film. like sure, he could have recognized that he was talking to the big brother of that one kid he killed once, but considering the circumstances in which he took garrett... maybe there's something more to it the whole situation is also very, VERY reminiscent of charlie's kidnapping in the silver eyes trilogy and considering how in the games charlie is the puppet... well.... who knows

One of the guy's shirt from the burglars was midnight motorist. The way Abby convinces the gang that William was the bad guy using the drawings is similar to a scene from the books where the exact same thing happened. And when the final shot of springtrap lying broken in the backroom and the ghost just leaves him there is just like the ending of FNAF 3 where the ghosts causes the springlocks to snap and then they left him twitching in the back room. Vanessa being revealed to be William's daughter was a fan theory for a while since in the AR game she was apparently credited with having "A" as her last name. I think Garret is The Puppet, it actually kinda makes sense! With the element that it was a kill outside of the pizzeria, it’s earlier and possibly William’s first kill, the visions shown to Abby being shown from Garret to help her along, why in particular Mike was so attracted to that one spot (not just because Willam operated there), but maybe because Garret’s soul is there, and also “Come Find Me” is to a character in specific and I think that’s either Mike or Abby. So in the end, unless Vanessa has a strong connection to Charlie, I think making him the Puppet is a PERFECT rewrite for this series!

i'll say the movie had a lot of callbacks and details that felt like crazy foreshadowing at first then they slipped just right into the story, like the shot with the "dream theory" book and the alarm clock felt insanely fnaf 4, but not only is that book the whole point of mike's character, but starting from mike waking up fits neatly into the actual 5 days progression! its really a neatly put together movie and i like that! edit: thinking through that feeling i think the movie rewards being curious, knowing the lore and where things are going!

One you might have missed: After the Silver Eyes reference with Abby in the arcade, when she hides in the ball pit, it reminded me a lot of the cover of Into The Pit. Might be me stretching a bit but they did make a whole set of posters with the same premise so it wouldn't surprise me.

Loved the movie!! The “Come Find Me” message feels reminiscent of Michael Afton’s line in a fnaf cutscene “I’m going to come find you” directed to his father.

Watching the FNaF movie with friends was surreal, and we all enjoyed finding and pointing our Easter Eggs to each other. One of my favorites is when Max checked the Freddy suit and the hand reached out, it reminded me a lot of the finale scene in “The New Kid” where Devon sticks his hand in the Golden Freddy suit. Not sure if they were intending to make some fans think of it like that, but with the bite in that scene as well, it seems like that scene has a lot to say. Anyway, great video Dawko!

I picked up that reference too, I told my boyfriend and I explained to him a lil' bit since he was with me even if he didn't get that much of the lore aspect of the game.

I just got back from watching the movie and I cannot explain my feelings and how amazing it was. It was, in my opinion and as a diehard fnaf fan, the best movie I watched. Everything about it to me was so spectacular. The acting, the scenes, the easter eggs, the twists, the credits. Every. single. thing. It gave me the chills in the best way possible. Ive been a fan for at least 4-6 years and seeing it was just magical. 10/10, definitely.

I don't mean to sound rude, but as a fnaf fan and a movie fan, you must have really low standards. The writing was knee deep at best and it was all over the place. The filming and acting and the set design were amazing, but if you can't write a good story to fully take advantage of that then your movie instantly falls apart. A movie is only as good as its writing, and in this case the writing is okay at best.
@pebble5335 Жыл бұрын
@@DodgerFloof I completely agree. As a FNAF fan since the first game came out in 2014 I was really disappointed with some of the writing, dialogue, acting, the stupid red eyes, and misrepresentation of the lore. I loved all of the easter eggs, youtuber cameos, and references to the game/community though. I wish they made the set more like the first game too.

I loved the fnaf movie. i do understand that casuals might not like it that much, but the target audience was the fans. and the fans liked it. i'd say Scott and Blumhouse achieved their goal.

I, as a hardcore (maybe veteran, around FNaF 2 being in production) fan, I already cherish the movie; even if I see the flaws now that flew right over my head. And yet æiterally everything- to the characters, the acting, the cast, the easter eggs- the fact this is more of a thriller than a horror- everything; was so good! And the ending. It was so amazing seeing this in my theater. HAH and I did it without any of my friends or family! Edit: Reword as some words were missing

I don’t think I’ve had that much fun in a movie theater ever and ever will in the future. The entire theater was dressed up in costumes and the reactions to all the different moments were priceless.

A couple things I noticed! In Steve Raglan’s office, the box from FNAF 4 is on a shelf right behind him, and on the wall where all the drawings are, there’s a picture of a Goomba, Mario and a Koopa troopa to the right!

I'd like to make it known that in the fourth closet, the way that Carlton turns the missing children against Afton is the same way Abby did. Drawing a picture. Just thought it was interesting that there were a lot of connections to the silver eyes trilogy.

A lot of people believe the Puppet is in the film, and it’s in the shot where Mike is shining the flashlight on the robots when they are on the stage, when chica is shined on, and you brighten up the shot, eyes are apparently lurking to the side of her, but that could also just be Tina the endo.
