Great video love it when creators make videos giving warnings back in the 90s when we first all got our Hondas after watching fast and the furious went on a spree of trying to customize them in every way possible with very little knowledge and no KZbin. You have definitely changed my view on the D series motors. Back in the day they were the butt end of a joke. And some guys were making power with them and they were probably knowledgeable like you. If my wife would ever let me get another Honda Civic I would enjoy getting back to doing this. I don’t know if we ever gotten this far in fabrication and understanding as you have. But we sure could’ve used you back in the 90s lol keep up the good work man God bless

I can vouch for the rod knock issue after using Royal Purple. Had to get my crank cut because of that.

Instead of having another T use that block off vacuum port ,just use a reducer to get it to fit the line size or just run an auxiliary vacuum port bar. They help simply things exp when you have to find a vacuum leak

Rotells t6 is good stuff and is jaso certified so it works in motorcycles. Much cheaper than paying high prices for motorcycle oil.

2:28 was enjoying this up until this point in the video. It will NOT spin your turbo backwards lol. All it will do is just slow the turbine wheel down a bit but thats all and create a nice flutter sound. If you have a good turbo it will be able to handle it.

From the top of your wastegate run the vacuum line to the outlet of your turbo to a tapped brass fitting. If you dont have one there should be a provision to install one. Where you have the line though is fine. Be sure to put zip ties on all your vacuum lines. Boost can blow them off. 👍

What is you have a turbo w 4 psi and internal wastegate is there a real need to upgrade the map and run stock.

DO NOT run a ball bearing turbo without a TurboSmart OPR as well. Very important. If your running a journal bearing Turbo a OPR is not needed. Don't use an oil restrictor either on a journal bearing Turbo.
@jdm_eh93673 жыл бұрын
Man, I am kinda scared of running no oil pressure restrictor on my journal bearing turbo. I did have a smaller t25 turbo before I bought a t28 57 trim. If you are comfortable without running a restrictor, I'll take your word on it.
@jimhiscott29184 жыл бұрын
No, your Turbo will NOT reverse direction without a BOV. I don't know who started that rediculous rumor. BUT, do run a BOV unless you love turbo lag....

Can I add a turbo to the car while the air conditioner is still there 🥰
@davidopitz9722 жыл бұрын
do NOT block off the pcv system like this guy, it is needed to correctly vent the crankcase via vacuum from the intake manifold and is likely to cause engine failure especially when turbocharged
