Old but gold. Here are my top 5 takeaways from Napoleon Hill’s classic on why your mindset is the single most important factor for any success in life - Think and Grow Rich.
---
My main tool for fundamental screening and analysis of stocks: app.tikr.com/register?ref=tsi
(If you sign up I earn a small commission)
---
Top 5 takeaways from Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich:
00:00 Intro
00:54 1. It is What You Think That Matters
02:26 2. A Burning Desire
04:53 3. Become an Unstoppable Force
07:02 4. Sexual Energy
08:54 5. The Six Ghosts of Fear
---
TL;DW:
- It is what you THINK that matters
- God seems to throw himself on the side of the man who knows exactly what he wants, if he is determined to get just that
- A quitter never wins, and a winner never quits
- Sex desire is the most powerful of all human desires - use its energy to your advantage
- You must conquer your fears before you can achieve greatness
---
My goal with this channel is to help you make more money and improve your personal finances. How to become a millionaire? There are many ways to get there - investing in the stock market, becoming a stock trader, doing real estate investing, or why not becoming an entrepreneur? But whether you are interested in how to invest in stocks or investing strategies for creating passive income with rental properties - I hope to be able to provide you with a solution (or at least an idea) here. Warren Buffett - the greatest investor of our time - says that you should fill your mind with competing ideas and then see what makes sense to you. This channel is about filling your mind with those ideas. And in the process - upgrading your money-making toolbox.

I just finished reading Think and Grow Rich. This was not my first time reading the book but I did not take any action before. But this time I am determined to take action. I think my inaction was because I was overwhelmed with the information presented in the book. This video summarizes the book nicely! It helps me focus on the important pieces of information to start taking an action. Thank you so much for creating this.

All those 6 ghosts of fear... I have them all. Severe cases, like really severe, should be treated cases.. All the time I am thinking if I wil have something to eat in a month, if I will get badly sick or die so young, or if I will soon be too old and have missed all the opportuinities, and all of this makes me really anxsious in everyday life.. Just recently I realised, that kind of person is unwanted and will never be accepted into society yet be able to achieve anything nor have support from other successful individuals. I also came for this book and hope it will have some effect and change my mindsetting about some things.

Glad you liked it Patrick! I found that it was better the 2nd time I read it actually. Don't know what you thought on your first read, but for me, with an engineering background, I wasn't really ready for it the first time. Without mathematical formulas to support the claims, I couldn't take in (/didn't believe in) much what was said. Now, when I've read more on the subject, and also seen that these advice have had a great positive effect in my own life, I feel that I can resonate with the takeaways much more.

@@TheSwedishInvestor I get what you are saying! The concept does seem "out there" and "mystical" and I can see why that can turn people off initially. I thought about it somewhat in terms of affirmations. By repeating the exercises to yourself, you are reinforcing the concepts so that you are more likely to ACT in ways that are consistent with these beliefs. At least that's the way I had thought about it. I think that I'm due for another read through though!

@Cinedon
@Cinedon 4 жыл бұрын
@@pilotprashant3829 It just means what you are willing to give up for the goal that you have set in money. How much time will you invest in it? How much of your own self will you invest in it to get it? Will you invest nights of no sleep to reach it through an action that you have set for yourself? Will you sometimes refuse to go to social occassions so you can save money to invest or have extra time? Basically what will you yourself invest for the goal you have in your mind.. That's why their discussion above here resonates to sort of the same thing. A lot of the book sounds "mystical" because it speaks in "the universe favors and gives ..." But it's actually pure logic. If you are convinced you want something for the full 200% then you will take actions upon every chance you get. You will not skip out on opportunities, you will retry any opportunity even if it fails at first etc etc.. And in the end one is bound to happen because you simply never stopped searching for another opportunity. You also probably never stopped trying different methods to get your plan to work.. So in the end you succeed somehow. It's not the universe, it's you just grasping everything that comes your way because you are determined and don't want anything else. That's the difference between someone who REALLY wants to be that 1% and someone who wants it but immediately lets go as soon as it gets harder..
