I believe in both private and government own enterprises, both served their purposes, totally owned private owned wouldn't work 100% look at the US now, and totally gov. owned look at CPC before Pres. Teng in China. A purely socialist country will NOT work. The balance between the two and policies to tackle both sectors are necessary and that is the difficult job.

In that case, that 'another region' will have a lot to worry about. I call it escapist because you are living in denial that the problem is with the ideology of the nation rather than its location. Israel achieved rapid development despite its location. India too progressed despite its western neighbour.

Any discussion in Pak whether KLF or this discussion, its always the same-lots of gas packaged in different forms. When would people in Pakistan realise that the BIGGEST prob in Pakistan is the (mindset) of people themselves. I can give trillion dollars to Pak & still it will be same because its Pakistan. Normal human traits- honesty, decency, transparency, governance etc is what normal nations strive for EXCEPT Pakistan.
