The best section of West Orange for commuters is the Gregory section in the southeast of town that borders Orange and South Orange. Depending where you live in the Gregory section, a walk to Mountain Station or Highland Ave is 10-20 mins. Not bad at all.

I usually go to take the train from south orange, it is close (5mns driving) no more 30 , 40 mns to nyc.

You also fail to mention the average income to effort west orange or the high property tax.

​@joeoneill8222 not to mention the crime that bleeds in from surrounding areas. It's not terrible (from what I remember, I moved 10 years ago) but it's more than your average town. Hell chestnut liquors was robbed and the clerk shot and killed back in 2011, they never caught those guys. I lived 2 doors down on chestnut

Consider if instead of praising West Orange restoring East Orange has more merit. Bring back the once friendly East Orange streets and the forever memorable Upsala College. Some then West Orange residents received their college degrees from Upsala.
