Making pizza is my passion in life, but unfortunately I’m too far along in my career that I wouldn’t be able to make it a business without making dramatic lifestyle cuts. I’m scratching the itch by just making pizza as much as I can and giving it out to neighbors or whoever wants it. Also, I can live vicariously through others by watching this channel!

Hi I thoroughly enjoy your pizza videos.i am opening a pizzeria in a few weeks in the Caribbean (Barbados) and your content has been very useful. We started during the pandemic and now we are expanding to a brick and motor.Keep up the good work👍

Recently picked up a new corporate pizza shop here in Houston named Zalat Pizza. They do incredible numbers. Interesting concept..I think they are online only too. Anyhow, as always great advice! Youre saving operators a lot of time and money with all these shows!

Great episode..... Been a sub for quite awhile now. Own a shop in Charleston SC for 13yrs closed in 2019... Getting ready to open a new one by fall. Just pies, 1 or 2 saladsand cannolis! All online ordering etc. Just like you've been saying. Have had this in mind since we closed South of Philly. Keep it coming and best of luck to you and God bless.

I 100% agree with having no phones, online only or they can come in to order. Phones ringing constantly can be aggravating especially in a rush.

In the Prince Street video the guy said he wish they had a phone. That's interesting. I want to Co own on a shop in FL but don't know anyone i trust to work as hard as me. Really like what Krispy pizza is doing in their marketing and pizza styles

The way to make money in the restaurant business....1) Create a corporation 2) Open the restaurant and get it profitable 3) Sell the Corporation. Rinse and repeat. You'll make more money than being an owner/operator.

I have everything to make my pizza, for business idea. Going romen pinsa style. Quick, cheap, delicious But it's a tremendous amount of work, and having second thoughts. Havnt even opened my mixer I've had for a month. I realllly want to start a mobile pizza truck, like old school ice cream, and just rome neighborhoods

If I go frozen pizza route, I already have a decent network that will sell from their stores. But I can't "toe dip", I have to jump in if I start.

Here is what i learned. And this is from a person who has no past pizza experience so for anyone reading this this is valuable advice because i am 1 and a have years into building a pizza shop and close to 300k invested. Its nice to browse youtube. def for ideas and insights and for motivation and thats what i did i designed my shop based on some of the cool shops i seen on youtube i choose what kind of style pizza i want to make by checking out youtube and seeing all the diff styles of pizzas and the things you can do with it. But let me be clear dont waste too much time listening to other pizza shop owners or pod casts or interviews. Because the most important things that you will need to learn no one is on youtube showing you or telling you how to do it. Anyone and i mean anyone can give you all the recipes you want. But no on is telling you their techniques on how they put these recipes together and I mean step-by-step. No one is showing you what temps of water what temp the room is what alkalined their water is how they actually ferment their dough and I don’t mean just 24 or 48 hours there are techniques on how to get the New York style pizza crispier and chewy same with the Sicilian or the Detroit style there are so many different techniques other than just the recipe. So what I’m trying to say is focus and study and try and attempt to learn recipes and techniques . Before you dive down the rabbit hole. Most of the pizza people on KZbin. It seems like they’re teaching something but when you get down to it, all you have is the basic recipe anyone can get, but not the techniques behind the recipe. so learn that and don’t waste your time on KZbin try to learn that because you’re not gonna find it. Technique is what makes one pizza spots pizza better than the next you can have the Same recipe and ingredients, but if your technique to prepare that recipe and ingredients is better than you win. That’s number one. I found myself with a beautiful pizzeria. That’s finally built with 1 million different recipes but no technique no real great advice. There are schools that can teach you hands-on Which is good or you can get a job at another pizzeria, which is even better because that’s a real hands-on training in a real environment. Or lots of trial and error. But get that right first before you go dive in headfirst. Learn food, safety get certified learn how to use commercial equipment like commercial mixers blenders things like that. The better culinary cook you are the fresher the ingredients, the better the pizza. Learn that and learn marketing and your golden. Good luck to anyone who will be pulling the trigger and going for it.

the price of the rents these days though especially in New York.. I dont know how anyone can survive running a slice shop... rents are killing the dreams...

It's a good question. I think if the pizza itself is your passion then avoid the franchise model. You have zero control of the product.

absolutely ridiculous comment on having no phones? u want to survive or die slowly? the older community wants and will call you by the phone, they will not order online (all of them) . who is not gunna answer the phone call for a sale? that’s ridiculous, sure u can have online ordering etc, but the hatred towards traditional phone calls is ridiculous, is ur pizza gunna be that much better than the competition? mhmm if so , someone will copy the same thing your doing. 46 years in business

Phones are a waste of time and create a bottleneck. The amount of solicitors and calls of people just asking "Are you open?" is a total waste of time. Create better systems and sales channels and optimize.

@ ahahahah and yes u can eliminate some of that with online ordering but if your turning down a phone call for $50 , wow u must be doing 3-4 million at each store? u must really have some sort of money coming in to not have enough time to answer the phone. sounds like both of you guys should go color and paint or stay on youtube and talk about it

@ as i have the same... the weird part of this is that im of the younger generation, and im the one sticking up for the older traditional method. yes u can build off efficiency, but u have to still have the standard measures, we have not evolved there completely yet. go look at marcos pizza they tried to implement AI to answer the phone for them, go look how thats working for them lol, customers were placing order incorrect all the time and were extremely upset when there food arrived or showed up to pick it up, u have stores and are open more? congrats, dosent mean your maximizing the volume from each location.... id rather have 2 lambo's than 10 toyota's. i wish u the best, respectfully i dont agree.. last part --> go look at the top pizzerias in the country, are they answering the phone??? HELL YEAH THEY ARE!!!!
