Dazzler #1 was so bad that I also dropped Werewolf By Night because it was written by the same person, even though the first issue of that wasn't completely horrible, I just couldn't read anything from that guy anymore.

An abhorrent affront to Ali, the current Dazzler is -- lead singer fans are not happy with this meagre depiction! So much potential with this assortment of core characters wasted (Multiple Man, Domino, etc)!

The Elektra DD setup isn't anything special... It's basically around the time the series jumped the shark (issue 20 or so when Matt went to jail because Zdarsky always rips off very recent runs of better writers, Ed Brubaker in this case.) it's just as bad as X-23 being the real, better Wolverine.

Current FF run has definitely been an overlooked gem, I concur wholeheartedly!

I know that Tom King has his detractors. I recently read his Adam Strange book, and while I hated seeing one of my faves destroyed like that, the book did leave an impact with me as I remember it weeks later while most comics I forget within an hour.

The only books I really followed that I can recall for this year are Wolverine, Spirit of Vengeance, X-Factor, Aliens What If, Predator The Last Hunt, Spider-Man Shadow Of The Green Goblin, Venom Separation Anxiety, Venom War Lethal Protectors, X-Men Unlimited Infinity Comic (only the Fall of X stuff) and Dazzler. Blood Hunt was ok, but for me it didn't get interesting till Varnae and R'ym'r. Dazzler I thought was good, I liked the first issue and the ones after it went down a bit but still ok. The music lyrics were not for me, so I basically ignored it. The last issue tho, I wasn't a fan of the villain reveal and how they rapped it up off panel. it wasn't the story I was hoping for, and its kinda been done (tho this was on a bigger scale). Spider-Man was fine I guess, I didn't really follow till say for the Hobgoblin bits and the same for Gang Wars. Miles was better, but I was only really into the stuff with Scorpion and Hobgoblin. I did really like X-Men Unlimited Infinity Comic with the Externals, but as they got close to the end they kinda just ignored who and what the External characters are. It would of made sense if the highly strong hints that Selene was forcing the other Externals, and that the Externals let the heroes beat them to free them from her control. Was really explored, and showed them turning on Selene, or just reveal that was their plan would of made the last half of it make sense. Pretty much it felt like the writers didn't know fully who these characters are, or were force to rap it up and left shit out. Dead X-Men started off good, and it felt like it was suppose to be a one shot. But stupidly got dragged out, and was just meh. Winter Soldiers Thunderbolts was fine, I was only really in it for the USAgent. But sadly they continued to ignore his development, and was kinda just there. What was worse was that they had them go after Red Skull, the man behind USAgent's parents being killed. And they had him get dropped with one shot, and the rest fought Red Skull with Bucky killing him. Heir of Apocalypse was such a let down, and really felt like the writer didn't know the characters.
