I believe KZbin itself is so underrated because it changes lives, it teaches people what school couldn’t teach, it helps mental relief. And KZbin is a place where when anyone is logging in, they know they’ll find something meaningful…unlike TikTok and other social media platforms 🤠. The difference is clear. Lol

In relation to thumbnails… I think what is underrated is the first 10 seconds of your video. When you scroll. A video auto plays. The thumbnail AND the first few seconds of your video are almost one unit now

Been watching different kind of content creator videos since I started my channel, and this is by far the most satisfactory to watch. I really like the laid back approach and not going super deep into topics. This is super valuable! To all people who are starting out youtube, Stay strong!

People have been saying KZbin is dying for years. I remember my wife told me in like 2015 that Pinterest was where it was at 😂.
@joenicklo Жыл бұрын
Trends I want to see die: "OMG" and "shocked" faces in thumbnails. Clickbait titles & thumbs that deceive viewers. And finally, for the sake of children, I really want to see the trend of throwing money at everything as a popular video. It's making kids believe that it's normal to just toss money around like it's nothing. It's setting a very bad precedence. Overall, I want to see more AUTHENTICITY!!! With that said, I love what you guys do for the community. I listen to the podcast in the car via Apple Podcasts more often than here on YT but I listen to each and every episode! The amount of value you bring is insane. Thanks!!!

So agree with this!!! Especially in this category of learning how to grow with KZbin. I feel all the top creators overuse the surprised or puzzled close up face.

Shorts are UNDERRATED I've been on youtube for 11 years and my first 1 million-view video came from a short, and that video gained me 7,800 followers in about a month's time. That never happened before shorts!

You guys talked about the community tab. I use it sometimes, I'd like to use it more often, but it's hard to get engagement if you don't have a large audience. I have used it have my audience help in the video ideation process as well but when I post, it's mostly crickets. Why should I use it now if I'm just yelling into a void?

I don't believe, in my opinion, that ChatGPT means the end of artists and creators, in the same way that the advent of photography wasn't the end of painting. The major art movements that came after photography (impressionism, expressionism, surrealism, Pop art, etc...) were quite groundbreaking and moved the visual language forward. There has always been this desire to have art and creativity on demand, without having to actually deal with (or pay) those pesky artist types. Artists are both admired and resented. It's always been that way. Thanks for sharing all your insights.

First off, this is such an awesome watch, really big fan of this podcast! You mentioned that the ThinkMediaPodcast split off from the ThinkMedia KZbin channel because the audiences were fundamentally a bit different. My question is, if topical coverage and audience targeting are similar, is putting video podcast content on my main KZbin channel that has more traditional standard format videos and shorts optimal? I ask this question because KZbin seems to be moving towards integrating all types of video formats like shorts, long-form, live, etc. If I can unify my audience into one channel it seems like it might be a good idea? Do you guys have any thoughts? Thanks!

Talking about AI what do you think about voice over for art history channel for instance?
@AutobotSimmer2 ай бұрын
Secund channels are so hard. A year since this was posted, I think thumbnails are pointless. Now videos autopsy. Yeah viral videos are overrated. People thinking "this video will blow up" but then if it doesn't, a lot of people then blame YT and the algorithm. I record a lot of videos at once and editing. My editing is very simple though. Which i question is not enough.

Andrew Tate. VERY polarizing and disagree with a lot of his points of view. Could also be a criminal. But he was the most googled man for couple months. So there are lessons to learn for all of us for sure.
@waynosfotos Жыл бұрын
I do think your comments surrounding AT was miss informed. He has been around for many years making content but was small to a medium YT. What makes him underrated is not what he is saying in front of the camera. It is what he did behind the camera. He went from a average YT to the most googled man in the world. This was intentional and planned. This is what we need to look at. Lets be real, no one wanted him popular. But he used the system against the system and broke it. This is what makes him underrated.

Off topic here, but... saw your video about AI. I believe that you err. Whatever so called benefits are offered by the promoters of AI, the dangers far outweigh any benefits. We do not know enough about consciousness and intellect to create things that can outstrip our ability. There is an add on this video that speaks to the AI working for free. Minutes for what may take a human days to produce becomes creative work for free. Why pay for anything created by humans that need money to live. That is not taking into account our inability to properly handle moral issues about humna living let alone how to deal with an inanimate entity that has the possibility to actually become conscious. Disregard Azimov's rules for robots. It is a false line of security. As a self-identified Christian you know this. I suggest that you lay the $$ down and rethink your position. Every tool we can use is not a good thing.

Wow i didnt expect that from Sean .. i kinda lost a lil bit of respect for his opinions because while I understand what he is trying to say Andrew Tate isn't just polarizing, he is accused of sex trafficking and various other crimes so why would we advocate looking to that man to "learn" when he prioritizes money and misogyny over everything INCLUDING HUMAN WELL BEING AND SAFETY!!!! WOW..... like I truly cannot believe Sean said this! Smh... imma just head out now... I would much rather learn from people who I may not like but the things that I dont like about them arent the things like human rights and safety crimes ..... smh
