I seldom use the camera from my celphone. I do text writing on my content as it is needed so that my audience will be able to learn and read the Tagalog language.

What’s helped me most in talking to the camera is just doing it a lot. The more I’ve practiced, the less awkward I’ve felt. Also, I started using some of my bloopers to lighten things up. Sometimes I have to tell myself that I’m just talking to a particular viewer, someone I know that will watch (like my mother in law :). Thanks for all the great advice!

Heather, you and Sean inspired me to start YT a year ago...I finally actually started 2 weeks ago! Combining 2 passions: helping busy moms over 30 review makeup while discussing finance tips in the same content. Double niche which isn't typical but I am giving it everything I've got to help other women! We got this! Thx for the inspo Heather 💪💞

❤️ This was so inspiring. I needed to hear this. Thank you Heather and Sean. I need to revisit this anytime I’m feeling down during my KZbin journey. Some quotes from Heather: “Your fear is holding you back from changing their life. It’s not about you…” it’s about your message that needs to get to them. “You are made for this. For this time in history, you are going to be the vehicle for change.”

That's a great video Heather, that's probably one of the best videos I have seen on KZbin, regarding making videos! You deserve a lot more thumbs up than 295, I have listened to your video several times when I am working my off-line business! Really great and valuable information. I also thoroughly enjoy listening to the Think Media KZbin videos, thank you.

So, my big take away from this video that is going to help me the most when it comes to talking on camera is what you said about, we are made on purpose for a purpose. So, I've got to let go of my perfectionism, post, and help those who want my help! Thanks Heather! ❤❤❤

My biggest problem is switching from speaking to a live audience to just speaking into the camera. It is really difficult for me to make that adjustment.
@pastorrandy3 жыл бұрын
I took your advice last night, rolled my shoulders back, breathed deeply, and tried to look directly in the lens. I had my script in an MS Word document with the dark theme on so that the background was black and the letters were white. That helped with the glare on my glasses (thanks, Omar). I positioned the text just above the top of my webcam so that I created a makeshift teleprompter behind my camera. It worked pretty good, but I want to get to the place where I can be like the team when it comes to connecting to the camera. Not quite there yet, but on the way.
