Tirdhuin is actually a pretty good settlement with 400 coins plus benefits of trade, and you can have a good position there. Also when you have Annuminas, try and go for Barketta and possibly Bar i Donionach, since they have solid walls

Another thing is I've heard the Journeymen have ap crossbows which I've heard is good against trolls so hoping into the region of Bree would possibly be cool

They certainly have a niche, but concurrently the Dunedain bodyguard & steelbowmen have AP arrows at a much greater range and accuracy. Although who doesn't love some crossbows?

Journeymen are trash tbh, they have the slow reload animation and no good accuracy. not recommend them..

You can cheese tirdhuin pretty hard by letting the goblins capture it then shootings them with arrows in the town square and then just let them recapture it an repeat, grinding their armies down.😁

I don't know if they can give the ai different directives when they are in a village,the problem is that if you are a more melee faction it's actually a good strategy for the ai to camp the square because you can't brake them. Thats why I almost never fight sieges,you don't have room to leverage your ranged and cav and it's just a grind fest...as it should be😁.

Fight on the slope of ost sul put the archers behind the infantry it's more effective

My thought process is they will be easier to rout since I can surround their units easier at the top of the hill while assuring their infantry is exhausted by the time they make it to the top. But I can try out this method also

I think from a narrative and gameplay standpoint, they are the most interesting faction, with a very unique start and objective. Also their huge roster potential certainly helps in drawing attention, and who doesn't want to use Aragorn and Gandalf haha

one thing im not crazy about is the ransom mechanic. Maybe leave it in but if a unit gets killed while running away, it should still have a 90% chance of dying at least!
