Nice Vid!!! I’ve had these on my Ram for 3 years now. I still think they’re the best looking for a 3rd Gen. I see a few comments about adjusting them. They have adjusting bolt on them, but are impossible to reach when installed. I ended up drill a hole in to my inner fender, to line up with the adjustment bolts. Using a nut driver I cab adjust mine while installed. I also have 55W HID installed and use a DRL module for keep the led independent from the other lights. These lights a huge upgrade of the OEM ones. I can finally see at night!!

I have the same headlights in my 2004 RAM. I immediately put in LED lights. That's the point I went down the rabbit hole. From wiring them up, to adjusting them, to clearing out the area behind the led fan housing so they don't interfere. Still fiddling with them. They look awesome, but I can't really recommend them just because of the how difficult the headlights are adjusted.

This is actually how they come from the link in the description, they use twin h1 bulbs, as for now I have the bulbs that came with them but I’ve heard good reviews about the hella h1 100watts. In my honest opinion you can’t beat the $220 for them best mod I’ve done thus far. I appreciate the kind words, Leme know if you need anything!

My Spyder Headlight were great for 2 years then the diodes burned up on the wiring harness thus causing the low beam to no longer work on the driver side. Contacted Spyder to get new replacement harness and they don't make them. So I had to cut the heat shrink to get the diode info and order my own. In the mean time my car was down for 5 days until the diode parts came in. After repairing the drive headlight, I notice that on the passenger side headlight the outer white halo has partial burned out. Again contact spyder for the rectangular halo replacement as the halo is not lit all the way to the end anymore, its dark for about 3 inches before use see the remaining led lights lit. And of course no halo replacement parts to repair my headlight assembly. 2 years ago I paid 175 for my headlight assembly today they are now 300 to 400. I'm thinking of going back to oem as there are plenty of new light assemblies for my Durango. But to spend 300 or more and can't get replacement parts to repair the Spyder assemblies is just not worth the money if they are only going to last 2 to 3 years before they start to fail. I just cant see spending that kind of dough every 3 years. Anyway this is what I have gone through with my assemblies. I hope this helps someone before buying them.

I’m wondering if they changed manufacturers, I’ve honestly not had a single issue and I’m not associated with the company in any way, I wish I was given the traction the video randomly got but yeah I’ve not had any issues yet, maybe it’s environmental or location specific issue idk. How bad off are the harnesses? Could you steal the connector and wire it up yourself? Match the part number for the diode railing and grab one off eBay I know it’s more trouble then it’s prob worth but if you’re anything Like be and constantly broke any money I can save by fixing it myself I will. But I definitely appreciate you swinging by and checking out the video and taking the time to write out your response, it definitely took a minute to write all that out so I do appreciate it! I change mine bulbs out with h1s and they don’t fit correctly beam is out of wack goes to show they don’t want you to change anything with these headlights

I also put on some Spyder Headlights on my Ram just over a year ago. Similar to those and after 1 year, the coating is starting to flake off already on the tops of them. Pretty disapinted in that. I hope in another year they dont start getting that cloudy/faded look. Love the looks of them but durability might be lacking.

I completely understand that, I’m a couple months away from a year, I’ve put some of the meguiars hybrid ceramic wax on them twice so perhaps that provided the needed uv protection.

Hey good video, however when I wired my led the way you said they would only come on when the headlights were turned on. So during the day you had nothing… in Canada it law to have day time running lights and since my truck came from Texas I need them to turn on with ignition. Sooo I ran a circuit from the fuse box that I jumped off the cigarette lighter fuse and then I got the result I wanted.. great video though thanks

It’s actually this grill amzn.to/3ZazreJ The led lights come on it, I simply wired it up to the parking lights there on the turn signals up front the leds don’t really use much power at all so you don’t have to worry about it popping a fuse.

They come with the amber running lights but you could always measure them and grab some different led lights for them. Not at all the Leds take little to no power to illuminate, these are far superior in brightness it was honestly night and day difference and that just with the halogens that come in them I could imagine leds

So I ran the wires through the skeleton of the hood using a close hanger and came out on the drivers side with the harness at the drivers hood hinge, I then ran it up to the drivers turn signal but wired it into the parking lights, it works great the leds don pull any current and no bulb warning, I show how it do it in the vid

I heard you say that if you had time later on you would switch out the lights for LEDs. So my question is... can you actually switch out the lights for LEDs??? Because I bought some exactly like those and they told me you couldn't switch them out.

I have not yet however many of the guys run Hella H1 100watt h/o bulbs however should not be too bad to do h1 led bulbs that have remote connectors that you could put external to the housing. I will probably eventually do a retrofit not that the output is bad, just a lot of guys are asking about it. Anything else you have questions on that I could use for a video idea? Doesn’t have to be associated with the headlights

How do you aim the lights up, or down? I can't see any means to aim them as you can the OEM set.

Believe it or not they have been holding up great! No issues what so ever, same bulbs that came in them, only thing id recommended long term is that you put wax on them when you wax the truck just to keep some layer of protection on them so they don’t yellow in the long run

I don’t, given they have halogen bulbs in them from spyder if you went to leds you might due to the higher resistance

They are wired to the same thing the daytime running lights are in the video that way they come on with the first notch on the switch. The leds take roughly no power at all

Hello Isidro, if it’s your first time doing wiring I’d recommend it tbh just in the event you accidentally cut into the wrong wires. Technically it should not be getting any power until the lights are turned on but you never know better to be safe then sorry. What is the grill

It’s a EAG grill, I wired the running lights into the side marker bulb, it uses very little power with it being leds so you don’t get a bulb fault. Definitely exceeds my expectations I have no yellowing on the lens which I was expecting but when I wash the truck I do wipe them down with meguires spray ceramic wax so that’s prob why.

Quick question! On my headlights when I unlock and lock my truck the white led bar lights up as well and they serve as turn signals. But they don’t run as a daytime light. Is there two ways to wire these headlights?

It sounds like you have them wired to the turn signal power wire and not the parking light power wires. Check your wiring

How did you get that for 800 when it's worth over 20k?

To make a long story short I found it on Facebook market place it was a private dealership basically in the dead center of North Carolina, was listed needing a trans went and looked at it drove it it had the sporadic 3rd to 2nd shift issue, bought it nursed it home got to looking and it had a brand new trans in it, started looking around and whoever installed the trans broke the trans harness and it was intermittently shorting out the tcm, fixed the harness and it’s been as good as new. Guess I lucked up!

Did you deviate any in the wiring? What year is your truck? Unless a bulb is out or you’re running led it should blink normal.

Used car lot had one posted on fb market place needing a transmission, it would run in 1st & 2nd,had transmission faults went and looked at it and bought it drove it back 143 long miles creeping in 2nd, got back to the house was going to pull the engine and put it in my humvee however I started looking it over and noticed it had a new transmission, I ordered the transmission solenoids, and accumulator valves replaced them all and the switches, same issue persisted, started to rip it out and noticed the wiring harness on the drivers side near the tail shaft of the trans the insulation was cracked up pretty badly, I started looking wt it more and found four wires shorted together, resin Ed the connector and did a wiring overlay, cleared the faults and the truck runs fine now.

I purchased a new camera a a7siii and got a actual mic and I’ve actually also started attempting to balance Audio levels now. This was one of my first videos and it just so happened to take off based on my channels performance. I appreciate the input if you end up seeing anything else let me know and I’ll attempt to address it in newer vids. Thanks again
