If you watch the Ogerpon boss fight/capture scene, the Ogerpon's terastal state question is answered every time she changes masks. 'Memories of journeying with you Grant Ogerpon strength!' 'Memories of a partner from long,long ago grant Ogerpon strength!' 'Memories of retrieving the masks grant Ogerpon strength!' These text boxes demonstrate that the crystals in her masks which come from Terapagos' power react to time based events such as memories, so Ogerpon's terastal state is a metaphor for the invigorating effect good memories can have on a person or Pokémon's spirit which is why she keeps getting back up and has multiple terastal states.

Which is important to notice is the placement of the stars in the logo “Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” 1:05 Ogerpon and Pecharunt are placed in opposition as they are enemies, while the yellow star, is placed just next to Ogerpon, such as a friend, an ally. Slightly bigger as this Pokémon is being like a guardian/parent to Ogerpon (and maybe because he is way bigger/taller than Ogerpon as well) I really love how every tiny detail count, everything seems to have a sense, even their positioning on this logo.

I like the idea of ending the movie with Kintaro leaving. You could have Ogrepon look like its trying to speak up to ask to go with Kintaro, but because of its shy nature it fails to do so. During the credits while it shows Kintaro leaving it shows Ogrepon decide to follow Kintaro, and chase after then secretly follow Kintaro on its journey. Also showing Kintaro realizing Ogrepon is following and surprises Ogrepon at the end by sneaking up behind it. Before you get the final shot of Kintari walking hand in hand with Ogrepon recreating the picture from the journal

My suggested story for a Scarlet/Violet sequel: Since the Professor at Area Zero died without a will, Arven's rights to inheritance is frozen. To unfreeze them, the gang must seek out Arven's other parent - the one who left Paldea when Arven was a baby - and get them to sign the necessary legal papers. After listening to their story, the other parent not only agrees to sign the papers but return back to Paldea to re-earn the rights to Arven's custody. (The other parent is now "the new Professor", while the previous Professor is "the old Professor") While examining the old Professor's time machine, the player gives the new Professor the Scarlet/Violet book from the old Professor who time-travelled to the crystal pool at Kitakami. Surprisingly, the book reactivates the time machine but because the book was time-displaced, the time machine became highly unstable and erratic. Rifts began popping out all over Paldea (not just the Crater), bringing forth bizzare Paradox Pokemon from both the ancient past AND the distant future! While the new Professor, Arven and Penny try to get the time machine under control, Nemona and the player travel all over Paldea to investigate these rifts and tackle the Paradox Pokemon that come out of them. They found out the safest way to bring the time machine under control is to depower the Tera crystals that power the machine, something that can only be done with Terapagos' will. At some point, the Scarlet/Violet book was sent into a time rift, presumably back to when it came from. Just as the time machine is deactivated one last time, one last "thing" came out of one last rift: the depowered body of the old AI Professor who jumped into the machine in the previous game. Its energy is gone but its core memories are intact. With Arven's permission, the new Professor reactivates the old AI Professor, reprogramming it so as to cater to Arven instead of the now-dead time machine. The Paldean authorities declared that the Zero Lab is to be permanently shut down and dismantled. Arven, despite being a teenager, now gets to live the childhood life he never got, now with Both parents (even if one of them is a cybernetic clone).

Like, maybe the ancient king of paldia somehow betrayed the Kintaro Pokémon, causing it to flea to area zero and be saved by Terrapagos in the dragon palace, and its absence caused the treasures of ruin to go from gardians to calamities or something tragic like that

Maybe make it similar to the celebi event in Heartgold. Ogerpon would just randomly be sad missing her friend. Then, Terapagos intervenes and teleports us to the time machine. We insert the violet book into the time machine and starts back up, we teleport to the time Kintaro was gravely injured and takes him back to our timeline. Tying the past and future together and explaining why he disappeared from Ogerpon’s timeline and reuniting them hundreds of years into the future.

For some reason as long as I was playing SV, I kept thinking of the Koko movie... like Clavell was the bad guy, and he killed Arven's parents, and Arven was raised by 'ape legendary/mythical'... although, maybe switch Geeta as the bad guy, taking over the Paldean region. Also, the gold dlc is technically the 4th... pecharunt was a small 3rd part. I keep saying that I knew there was 4 parts from the beginning. I kept saying green blue gold and black... im wondering if the anime ended up becoming black... or if gold and black will end up being johto/unova 2024 games...

I am not sure how to piece it all together, but there are a lot of story elements that are unresolved: 1. A mysterious highly aggressive Pokemon in Area Zero. Many assumed it was just the "evil" Koraidon/Miraidon but in my opinion, GameFreak went out of their way to specifically not mention exactly what fatally wounded Arven's parents, Mabostiff, and our Koraidon/Miraidon at the beginning of SV. In all three of these cases, the wounds were all irreparable without Herba Mystica. Please notice here how none of them had visible wounds. It seemed to be greater than a physical wound, almost as if their life was being drained out of them. 2. Herba Mystica. It's origins are still a huge mystery but there is very important information about them that we know. They originated from the Great Crater of Paldea, specifically Area Zero around 200(!!!) years ago. Remember this. I have a theory, but it will take too long to write out. TTar touched on it, but "Urashima Taro" might be a entity who is cursed to "give and take life". Let me keep explaining. 3. The Yellow Mythical is not Kintaro but "Urashima Taro". Kintaro is Ogerpon, the small strong boy. Gamefreak combined the Kintaro, Urashima Taro, and Momotaro folktales and made them interrelated. Lets get into the details. The story of Urashima Taro (UT) takes place around 200(!!!) years ago. In the Japanese folktale, UT was a man who stumbled across a turtle (Terapagos) being toyed with by a group of children (the first expedition team aka Heath's group). UT saves the turtle from the children and brings it to safety. The turtle rewards UT by bringing UT to it's palace (Crystal Pool in Kitakami). There, UT meets a princess (Ogerpon) whom he befriends and they have a lot of fun together. 200(!!!) years pass and it is now the present. This is where Gamefreak puts a twist on the story. If you look up "Urashima Taro turtle", you will see images of the dreamcatcher-like turtle that resembles Terapagos. Before meeting Ogerpon, we know that UT is friends with Terapagos meaning it has access to the pure Tera type shards. This is when the Urashima Taro and Kintaro folktales converge. I believe UT has the power to grow Herba Mystica. Much like how there are multiple Tera shards and then the pure Tera Type shard, UT has a pure Herba Mystica. Pure Tera Type shards and UT's pure Herba Mystica were given to the mask maker to create the masks and that's why they have a unique resonance with Ogerpon. Now the story of Momotaro (Pecharunt) converges with Kintaro (Ogerpon) and UT. We are near present time, and Sada and Turo's expedition team is venturing into Area Zero to create the time machine. I believe Terapagos feels threatened by their intrusion and calls UT back to protect Terapagos once again from intruders. UT leaves the caves and the masks, leaving Ogerpon behind without any notice. Momotaro and the 3 beasts steal the masks in UT's absence. Ogerpon thinks they killed UT. We know this story. Back in Area Zero, UT goes on a rampage and injures the professors, Mabostiff, and Koraidon/Miraidon with it's mysterious powers. I think it's the power to take away life. It's ability to grow Herba Mystica is the ability to give back life. Since UT has ventured beyond Area Zero with Terapagos, it left spores of Herba Mystica throughout Paldea. From here, I have no idea what happens or happened to UT. Hopefully we find out more in the movie... hope you guys liked my theory.

Another theory I have is that UT was on a rampage/had gone so mad, that Terapagos had to seal UT away with it's powers which left BOTH Terapagos AND UT in dormant states. Terapagos as a crystal deep inside Area Zero, and UT as the Crystal Tree signifying it's properties to grow Herba Mystica. Another theory is that the time machine was draining so much of Terapagos' energy and possibly life force, that it was on the verge of dying and UT had to use all of it's powers to save Terapagos which left them both in dormant states. And my last theory is that Pecharunt had the Loyal Three invade UT's cave while it was sleeping and fed it Mochi, or it just straight up used Malignant Chain on the sleeping UT and brainwashed UT to go retrieve more Pure Tera Type crystals from Terapagos. When UT goes back to Area Zero, it attacks everything in it's path including Arven's parents, Mabostiff, and our Koraidon/Miraidon. It finally gets to Terapagos and they face off, which leads to them both being sealed away. The under-depths of Area Zero do appear to be in ruins with all of the patches of crystal and ruggedness. The path between the Crystal Tree and the room which we encounter Terapagos are not far from each other, almost as if Terapagos won the battle and sealed away UT, and then crawled a fair distance away until it fell into deep slumber.

Before looking back I always thought it was the other Miraidon/ Koraidon. Which wouldn't make sense since Arven has no bad response to it. Would be fitting for a reveal. Maybe it was retaliating out of being scared. Mabostiff is a pokemon that tries to look scary so maybe it was all a mistake. Bonus points if it's sad about it and really a sweetie that had a Frankenstein's Monster style accident

The tree in the deepest parts of Area Zero could be its home. It would make sense, since the game has a theme around fruit and then we have Pecharunt, Ogrepon (being like an orange), and then an ape for a yellow banana. That's likely where all of them came from initially.

The fruit theme is also interesting. And this legendary being related to the Herba Mystica could work. Zarude if I recall could cause plants to grow and flourish. Did they ever directly confirm that Ogrepon’s mysterious travel companion died fighting the loyal three? They showed with the professors that they’re finally willing to acknowledge death without euphemism. We were told it wasn’t able to protect the wellspring, ash and hearthflame masks from theft, and that when Ogrepon got back to the cave only the teal mask remained. Ogrepon couldn’t find them and probably assumed they were dead. What if they were hurt badly and went to the crystal pool to heal, accidentally falling through time? Thus explaining how we get to catch them in an in game mythical event. Better still, there could be a special reaction for using Ogrepon in the battle, like with the pecharunt event.

I would like to add a bit more to this. I think for a 3rd dlc they could have this. You have the scarlet and violet book. Ill be honest instantly I tried to see if I could go to the time machine after getting it but couldnt. Maybe they have a way ogrepon shows you about the man and you decide to go to the time machine to try and rescue the man from the past but instead get sucked into it. It could also be a good setup say if there is a legend celeabi. We could learn kitakami is part of jhoto somehow. Then going through the game with the help of ogrepon and the man you do what you need to do and at the end celeabi would take you back to your timeline. So many directions things could go.

Here's a idea Kintaro is the guardian of regular Pokemon from the current period on the timeline. He protects the Pokemon of this time period that also fell into Area Zero. Maybe he was around when Terapagos made the crater and fell in thousands of years. Being there when the crater originally opened gave him some special connection to the Tera phenomenon. And that's what the golden form is.

Playing off your stray man theory, it could also happen that the particular person could have ended up trapped in Area Zero with Kintaro. Or even a story with someone getting lost in the wilderness and becoming "feral" so to speak. Seeing as this has been a recurring theme through several parts of the Pokémon franchise. Like with Tomo and Kangaskhan in Indigo League and also Coco in the Zarude movie. Food for thought.

If this Story were to be the Case, a Great Way to Actually Handle Acquiring the Kintaro Pokémon would be: Rather than just Hand It to the Player via Mystery Gift, instead Introduce some Sentimental Object between Kintaro and Ogerpon within the Movie, and Give That to the Player via Mystery Gift; Have the Item Unlock an Event requiring Ogerpon in your Party at the Crystal Pool (Different Spot from the Professor's Event, to prevent Bugs), where Ogerpon suddenly begins Crying after spotting the Item you're Carrying, being Reminded of its Old Friend; This Triggers the Terastal Powers of the Crystal Pool, and Summons the Spirit of the Kintaro Pokémon to Calm Ogerpon. After a Short Time watching the Two, Kintaro senses something About to Happen, and Grabs You and Ogerpon, covering itself over You as a Seismic Shift Occurs within the Mountain - when You and Ogerpon Get Up, Kintaro has Vanished, and as you're about to Start Looking for Him, your RotomPhone Rings, indicating a Call from Miss Briar; She Informs you of a Massive Spike in Terastal Energy occurring at the Same Time as the Quake, and is Detecting a New Tera Crystal Point within Oni Mountain! Finally given Control again, Taking the Cave Drop into the Ungerground Pool Area of the Mountain, where you'd Find Feebas, will let you Find a New 6-Star Stellar Tera Raid Point nearby, that Houses the Single-Catch Kintaro Pokémon with the Stellar Tera-Type, with Ogerpon having Boosted Stats if Brought to the Raid, and the Raid Crystal Respawning Daily giving Players the opportunity to Farm its Drops and Allow Other Players to Access it if they haven't Finished the Teal Mask DLC Yet! While I Still Believe that Game Freak's Intentions are that Kieran and Carmine Act as the Yellow Star in the DLC Logo, which I've Commented and Explained about in an Earlier Video, with the Siblings filling the Role of the 'Taro' in the Three different Storylines, and Carmine Acting as Kintaro - a Movie Based upon the 'Old Man' with Ogerpon, and their Origins within Area Zero would Tie Up many of the Loose Ends outside of the Paradox Pokémon's Origins (of which I have My Own Ideas), and the Event I described would Act as a Final Farewell to Players of the DLC, providing a Somewhat Happy End to Ogerpon's Tragic History, being Reunited with their Old Friend after Catching their Reborn Self! The Event Itself would be Short and Sweet, and wouldn't be Very Hard to Code In as a Small Update, Minimising the Effort Game Freak would need to Use to Give Players their Thanks for Sticking with them Over the Game's Problematic Tenure, and Finishing things on a Positive Note!

I think the success (and quality) of the promo animations like Paldean Winds has made them bolder in their storytelling and more confident they can play between games and animation. At some point Briar says/implies the Crystal pool is a recent thing. Also, the mask-makers family has no way of knowing the real story, unless the mask-maker went up to the cave to see why Ogerpon had attacked the Loyal 3. probably found the dead trainer/Kintaro and buried him at the pool. This caused the crystal formation.

You are right about the legend status it would not make sense but….no one in the game tells you how long ago. The tablet and Kieran’s Grandpa say long ago but never give a range of how long ago, hundreds of years ago? Decades ago? Thousands ago? We have to think a long ago, must mean that its sufficient to make it a legend. But that is just an assumption. Most likely Ogrepon and Heath’s expedition have no correlation whatsoever but at the same time we cannot say Ogrepon is 400 to 500 years ago after all the only measure of time they give is a, “A long time ago”. Maybe they say that in order to not establish a time as they were making the story or to not make the player thing of Heath’s expedition if it happened 100 years ago. I guess what ever they tried to do we will find out in pokemon day or….maybe nothing happens and we will never know how much is,”long ago”.

Alternate theory: Kintaro and the Stray Man protect Area Zero. When Stray Man offers to bring Ogerpon and Kintaro to Kitakami, Kintaro changes his mind and decides to stay in Area Zero. So the man in Kitakami is a man who dies.
