Oh how I loved Paul McCartney!! I can still remember the first time I heard a Beatles song on the radio. I was completely smitten! My older sister bought me ‘Sixteen’ magazine and I devoured every page about the Beatles. I had a Beatles scrapbook with every newspaper article I could find about them. All I could think about was John, Paul, George, and Ringo. Its a wonder I learned anything in school, because they were on my brain at all times. Remember watching American Bandstand?? It was a great time to be a preteen/teen!

I love 'in my life' ! I also love 'yesterday'. And 'michelle'. Sometimes it's not the song, but it's the feelings and emotions and memories that are evoked by the songs. Everyday I wake up with a different song in my head. It's usually a song that I remember from my teens and 20's. Such great memories they bring!

But later I was very much into music (still am) and I remember loving the song "My Love" very much. I'm a romantic. The song My Life is classic as is "Imagine" I think. London in the 60’s was fantastic! So colourful, tempting and alive! Actors, racing drivers, singers, writers were within reach. I loved it and made it my niche to travel there as much as possible. It is amazing how those musicians wrote those poignant lyrics. They were so meaningful and really went to your soul. And they were so young. How could they know of the ways of the heart not having gone through that much living yet. To think back does make you sad sometimes but it also makes you remember all the good friends and times you had and it makes today so much better. I love the lyrics of the song by Lady A If I Knew Then “ speaks to your soul and sings to your heart.” And by the way that Tirtir foundation is amazing!! Such a smooth finish. My father’s dental office happened to be in a building that housed a music store on the street level. Sometimes I went after school to my dad’s office and would do my homework. On our way home we were walking past the music store where the Beatles first album was promptly displayed. I remember saying “Dad look the Beetles”. Dad then took me inside and bought me the album and I was thrilled, a cherished item,I played over and over. Also who can forget their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show. Our whole family of 7 was gathered around the television set with excitement and anticipation. Had a crush on Paul!
