JREKML, Taemin didn't have any formal dance training. He started teaching himself how to dance at 9/10 by watching MJ, Usher, and Bi Rain. Then he would practice the moves in his mirror. At 12 he attended an open audition for SM Ent. He got in the first try (which is extremely difficult to do) based upon his dancing alone. You can still find his audition video on YT. Then he debuted at just 14 as the main dancer of SHINee. All in just 4-5 short years of beginning to dance. That's called natural talent and just part of what makes him so phenomenal.

The didn't realize Taemin's tenacity or work ethic. With the help of his SHINee hyungs, Onew & Jonghyun (best vocalist in S. Korea), he was singing within 3 years of debut. By 2013 he was covering Jonghyun's parts in some songs. Then SM chose him as their first ever male soloist from an active boy group. So much for not having a voice for singing...lol.

Taemin's dancing is ultimately what made me a Kpop fan (back in 2010). When I first found kpop I though it sounded weird, but when I saw SHINee's mv's the dancing was INCREDIBLE, and there was this guy thar especially caught my eyes. I had to continue watching. That was of course Taemin ;) I grew to love the music as well via loving the dancing. He is still my nr 1 favorite dancer, and my favorite solo artist
