If anything, Taemin's probably getting new ideas for his future albums since he's exploring so many different styles and genres with SuperM and mixing with people from such diverse groups with such different discographies. I think this SuperM experience is enriching his artistic potential. Also, he's gaining more fame through them. For example, I've seen so many NCTZens and SuperM-only supporters speaking out in his favour these past few days. SuperM should definitely stay.... however, at the same time, SM should also focus on his solo activities more. It's the company's responsibility to promote their artist and their behaviour is extremely disheartening.

Other companies make their mvs ads, so they get views which are undeserved. I think it's ok for Taemin to rest now knowing that he's achieved results in ways which is hard to tamper with. Putting music videos as ads is basically paying for views, but the fact that Taemin got so many ranks 1s show that people do appreciate his music much more than what KZbin views would suggest.

I'm actually physically struggling with how GOOD this song is. The 5 million views this MV got are not shabby, but I absolutely don't understand how it is not attracting infinitely more attention. としか結 Move wasn’t well promoted though. It wasn’t as bad as this, but it was insufficient and far from the best promos he’s gotten. He didn’t even get any music show wins for it. And he complained openly back then too “I wish my company would work as hard as I do”. It was only after Shawols made covering the choreo a big trend that it got the hype it deserved, and so The Move Disease started, but it was still too late to have any proper impact on statistics like first week album sales and streams, music show votings etc. Even though it’s widely recognized nowadays, Move only started its journey to become iconic a few weeks after it had dropped.

He's technically dual-promoting but honestly only his friends are inviting him to their works to promote Criminal, SM's not doing anything for it and somehow he ended up starting stages a week after release, when Namjoo and YooA who released their solos on the same day are doing stages this week? How SM is treating the comeback that he was waiting to give literally since he released Want is really disappointing, but Taemin himself sure isn't. This is one of my favorite Taemin tracks, I think the album may even top Press It for me which is hard. The thing about this song is that once I heard it, it wouldn't leave my head. I was streaming it quite seriously since Taemin asked, and when I was playing MVs in-between I just wanted to come back to Criminal. It's just...Amazing. That's all there is to it. The final run of the chorus? Yeah. Perfection.

you know, i love when people appreciate and acknowledge taemin's talent and hard work. when he debuted, so many people criticized him and said he wasn't a good singer, etc. but this man...he worked his ass off, improved at singing and dancing, and released multiple albums in korean and japanese. he started his own movement and for that reason, Move is incredibly iconic. Taemin, after over 10 years, still keeps improving and becoming the best. there's no one doing it like him. I’m so new to K-Pop and this video is so viscerally appealing. What’s even more satisfying is listening to his new album. It’s gorgeous. The songs have brought me to tears and I don’t even know what he’s saying. Can’t love it harder.

Loved the reaction! PD clutching his heart when Taemin says 'destroy me more' is a mood. I agree that Move is more of an 'iconic' song but Criminal really showcased the full fledged artistry of Taemin- the vocals, the choreo and the visuals blend with each other perfectly to create this masterpiece, which is the culmination of all of his experience as an artist so far. There is a dance practice and there will also be an SM The Stage of this song. Would love to see your reaction to these and also an album listening party because all of the songs are truly god tier!

Taemin somehow keeps outdoing himself. just when you think "this is it, this is the ultimate art" he comes back with more. what an incredible artist. Criminal is amazing in every way. As you said, Move was more iconic because it pushed so many envelopes. Criminal doesn't do exactly that, but i takes what it is and makes it into unrivaled perfection. This is just quintessential Taemin at his very best

I loved this comeback so much, Taemin really outdid himself, the song, the vocals and the choreo are all god-tier!! I love the adlips in the last chorus so much I really can't stop listening to it If you wanna see the choreography in its whole glory the dance practice came out yesterday with fixed cam (preach) I really hope you'll do a listening party for this album, the songs are amazing, I especially love "Waiting for" and "Clockwork" Also this is only Act1 of Never Gonna Dance Again, and Taemin said Act2 will come out in November, I can't wait !!

You can watch Criminal dance prac on SHINee's channel! Choreo is amazingg! Also, Taemin said this album is his turning point. He is just doing what he likes without worrying abt what others think. So im pretty sure this is his favourite title track too

I'm so obsessed with this song I would go so far to say it's my favorite kpop song of the year and I'm an EXO-L which means I'm choosing it over Baekhyun, SuperM and EXO-SC's comebacks. It makes me feel guilty but I just love everything about this song even if it didn't have such an amazing performance I would still be obsessed.

Couple of fun facts: the voices before the last chorus are supposed to be like police reports talking about the suspect (Taemin) possibly being a victim of Stockholm syndrome, and the “destroy me more” can also be translated to “run away” because the two sentences are homophones in Korean, and Taemin did this on purpose so you would get a different meaning depending on how you heard it (I think to symbolize the two sides of the kidnapped person eventually being manipulated)
