A lovely and poignant tribute to a criminally underrated (and abused Doctor). I was genuinely sorry when Jodie Whittaker left. Her Doctor was warm, compassionate and funny.

I am sad we didn't get our kiss, but given their dynamic.. it's not entirely surprising lol I will miss these two so much. 13 was my doctor and I don't care what anyone else says

No, I have to, but I don't want to say goodbye to Jodie Whittaker. She was and will be my doctor for ever. Her doctor was joyful, full of energy and so emotional. And Jodie always makes me feel we could be best friends. I miss her so much

Oh, this got my eyes watering. To think I saw Tegan's and Ace's last episodes live. But letting Jodie's Doctor go has been as hard as the ending of The Green Death when I was 12 years old (my US station filled in downtime between the current Doctor's seasons with reruns, so I started with both Five and Three). Splendid chaps, all of them, but I'm glad that like Ace and Tegan, I'm one of the folks from long ago who got to meet her and Yaz. Wish Nyssa were back from e-space: she would've loved this one.

It's not fair. Jodie was wonderful. Her Doctor was done so badly. Her best episodes were her first and last for me. She did get Sidelined a lot of the time, even in her final episode, not really knowing her Doctor, not Jodie's fault, she did her best. Her energy and enthusiasm for the role was boundless in and out of the show. Actually, she did have a defining Doctor moment for me and it wasn't under Chibnall or even in the series itself, but the video she featured in during the pandemic, where she reassured us and did us a little message, it was so lovely and exactly what the Doctor would do, whatever face or body they had. I love Jodie and wish we had more, but for what little pieces of brilliance we did get I'm thankful 🙂

It is true that Jodie was pushed aside in her own show because she was a women written by men who wanted to write for a male doctor but they had a women doctor and women are so much more complex.

Watching this has made me feel deeply sad it’s an amazing tribute but I recently lost my mum to cancer and being that Jodie had similarities to my mum that she cared so much about everyone and always put others first before herself, seeing the 13th doctor regenerate was like loosing my mum all over again 😢

Now that Jodie's gone are we going to get a 13th doctor ultimate era trailer?

If the haters had any brain cells whatsoever, the idea of an female doctor was suggested by the shows creator himself in the mid 1980s!

That’s not really the problem with this doctor. It’s more about how political it is. And the timeless child stuff of course

True, but I don't believe that John Nathan-Turner was being 100% serious. He was just trying to get the women of his back for the scream female companion stereotype. Personally I would have liked to hear some of the modern companions scream more. It is scary fighting monsters. The LGBT community are heavily involved in the Doctor Who Community both on screen, be had the screen and watching the show. In fact John Nathan-Turner was gay. The truth is Doctor Who has been a gay male show for quite a long time.
