I actually like this watch, and I've never liked an AP before. The equally weird thing is that I wouldn't get the skeletonized version. I would have thought that if I had a watch with all these complications that I would want to see all the parts moving. Instead, I find myself preferring the simplicity of the dial version. Nice one, AP!

I have just asked my wife to consider buying it for my birthday in April. She even wrote it down to check it out, bless her. Even if I could afford any of the top three, it would be a Vacheron or a Patek I'm not an AP fan at all, but I quite like this.

So I've just bought an 8k monitor and some of this video was in 8k so I really enjoyed it. The CAD they used to do explode animations is fantastic, so photo realistic. I would never buy a watch like that, but I'm really glad that there are people out there that fund my entertainment in such an interesting way, as if they didn't have 1.7m in change to keep the R&D and manufacturing above water I wouldn't be able to spend a few cents watching it on KZbin.

Perhaps AP added the lid to protect the sapphire crystal which, as I understand, is extra thin for better gong accoustics. Maybe the thinness makes it less shatterproof. Not sure how it would fall on its back though. At 1.7 million, however, it’s better to be safe than sorry :)

So, they did all this work for years to create the most complicated watch, they fitted a minute repeater and a grand sonnerie whatever, and they couldn't show the year with 4 digit in a perpetual calendar that should not be reset until 2400? How will I know if it is 2023 or 2223???? I am very disappointed!

Servicing costs would be an interesting one though along with how long it would take, I wonder if it's inclusive to the cost of the watch otherwise at a guess you could probably buy another luxury watch or two for the cost. Also I wonder if they would give you a loan watch while yours in away being serviced. I doubt of my local watchmaker a certain Mr Horace Ology would be able to service it.
