Awesome to see Lorier getting some love! Not only do they listen to customer feedback, their customer service is amazing. I had an issue with the Safari, I sent it in, and they took care it. They kept me up to date with progress emails and even called me to check in.

Absolutely spot on! I purchased a Hyperion second hand with the silver hands. I noticed the timing was about 15-18 seconds fast per day. I emailed lorier and spoke with Lauren who sent me a shipping label and promptly fixed the watch. They even removed a spot of dust under the crystal for me all free of charge under warranty while knowing I was not the original purchaser. Top notch company and people. I will soon have a falcon 3

@@Not-a-bot222 hmm.. good to know, Fair Play to them for doing the extra KNOWING You're not the original purchaser! .. I really like these Loriers, they look FANTASTIC, and knowing Lorier themselves are a 'decent' company really helps make my mind up.. I'm deffo getting one for the collection.

I can attest to the certina, it does wear a bit big SOMETIMES, but you really won't regret it, either the "Classic" Hesalite and aluminum model, or the "Premium" sapphire and ceramic model will literally be a keeper for life, and it is so great to see Certina get some love
Great video! It's always nice to be introduced to new watch brands. It can get very boring seeing the same old stuff over and over again.

That Marloe is a really unusual and good looking watch! And so affordable…I want one. The Xeric is another one that stands out here. I can’t choose between the CWC and the Hamilton equivalent though. Finally the Certina chosen here, is the first ever Certina that I actually like the look of! As for Rotary…they’re the UKs Timex. I remember as a kid seeing the brand in the windows of all the high street jewelers.

I love my Lorier Falcon II; it’s small, thin & light & it’s easily the most comfortable watch I own! The acrylic crystal gives it a look that can’t be duplicated by sapphire. I own better watches, but this one has a special place in my small collection. I love updates on the Falcon III, too.

It would be helpful if you provided links to some of the watch companies you feature. The star wheel watch is from who? zurich ? or similar? I couldnt find them and google search didn't help. Guys because the pressure at !0 meters is 2 atmosfears & increases by 1 atmosfear for every 10meters deeper after that , so by the time you reach 100 meters the pressure is 11 atmosfears . So every watch that is rated to 10 atmosfears is only rated to 90 meters not 100.

I have a soft spot for Rotary because eight years ago when I was searching for a brand on Amazon with Swiss heritage that I could afford, but wasn't actually Swiss, I stumbled upon them. I purchased a quartz diver with a blue dial & wave like texture like an Omega Seamaster has today, a quartz Navitimer homage (blue dial & spinning fake tachymeter ring) that claimed 30m water resistance who's acrylic crystal would fog if there was any type of moisture in the air; and my first automatic, a skeletonized rose gold case, rose gold movement and black dial, it looks a lot like what Earnshaw does today and I would not be surprised if they're not using the same parts; I think made in Taiwan? I still have the Rose gold watch, the other two vanished. I had paid to service the loose rattling rotor midway through ownership and a year ago the roman numeral dial detached from the movement and spun inside the case while I was at the bar. I kept resetting my watch not knowing what had happened until morning. I do plan on attempting to fix it myself soon because I still love the look. Their head of design has a good eye. I don't know if their QC has improved in the last 8 years but I'm no longer willing to purchase one to find out; Perhaps one of you can ;) As is Invicta and Earnshaw, Rotary is NOT the same company it once was. They are revival brands that purchased the rights to use an established, defunct, name and reap the benefits of the heritage and popularity. That being said, you muat be some sort of enthusiast albeit maybe also deceptive businessman. When my automatic rotary broke last year I immediately purchased a blue open heart Bambino to replace it the next day. For Christmas I gifted myself a Glycine Combat Sub, my first entry level Swiss automatic. The Glycine Combat Moonphase had sold out but reappeared shortly after new year so I grabbed that too. I was peeping a Certina Caimano whilst building a mini Casio collection and saw you guys talk about it on here, for the price of under $230 & an ETA 2824, I couldn't resist adding it in the box with the Sellitas and Epson movement. Yesterday a 1985 Nivada arrived from Cairo, it's my first vintage watch, mechanical, and the year I was born. At only 34mm I already adore it & love putting my ear to it listening to the ETA inside that's as old as me, tick away. Unlike the other revival brands, I like what I see with the revival of Nivada and maybe even Alpina, these companies aren't claiming or pretending to be the original companies either. I can't be mad at Invicta because they acquired Glycine to keep them going. Rotary got me to delve into this horological hobby and history deeper, I do remember reading years ago that Rotary supplied watches to the British military during WW2, there should be some stowed away and passed down, but I was born and raised in the Chicagoland area; I have yet to see any examples, why would I? Elgin National Watch Company was apparently the largest dedicated manufacturer of watches in the world for 100 years according to Wikipedia, defunct in 1968 but I can purchase one from Walmart new for $60? I doubt they're still made down the street from me in Elgin, Illinois. Thank you guys for the time you take to bring bargain/affordable watch recommendations and opinions to our eyes and ears. I love discovering and learning new about new watches everyday. I'm curious to hear what you guys think of Revival brands.

The 11 atmos name is actually correct. Pressure at surface is 1 bar so at 100 metres absolute pressure is actually 11 bar (atmospheres).

@edwardmacdermott4645 Жыл бұрын
This may have been commented on already, but 11 atmos is actually 100m under water. If you dive down 100m you are at 11 atmospheres. 1 unit of atmospheric pressure is the surface. We all live at 1 atmos. So a watch that has 100m of water resistance is rated to 11 atmos.
