Hi Wade, a comment on your tee shirt. Besides my candle business, I have been designing and pressing tee's, hoodies and athletic wear for about 4 years now. On my customers custom orders, I have almost no one that orders a red shirt and very seldom want any red in their designs. I love your shirt concept but if it were me (and it's not) I would offer the banner colors in just two colors, purple, or, blue and keeping your tee black. The only time I use red is for custom NFL gear when it's in the team colors. Black, by far, is my number one color in pretty much everything I do and what customers request. This tee would also look great in white or gray! BTW, I love this inspirational video. You are the best at giving sound advice and sharing your experiences and I very much appreciate you and your channel!

re you shirt - I think it is great you are doing this good idea!!- I would offer a 2nd version that wasnt as bold - so shrink the red banner down to maybe a more narrow strip and the designer maker could be above smaller over the heart so to speak - some people (like me) like a more subtle approach -so you might want to do 2 - colours are great - candle and lotion graphics are spot on - not sure what the other 2 are but that might just be me

I grew up in a family printing business. New business owners would come in with their logo or a sign they wanted us to print. They would be so proud of their design and we would have to explain that it wasn't legible. They knew what it said, so never "couldn't read it." Poor color combinations and thin frilly fonts just aren't good for marketing! I love the idea of putting things on a retail shelf with similar products!

It might affect the cooling rate. But if using soy wax, it's normal to frost

@@charlenegarvin3036 there isn't a best. They all have pros and cons. There are waxes that dont frost (parasoy, paraffin, coconut paraffin, etc). But they have their own drawbacks. I would just look at suppliers and their common waxes and look at reviews and info on each waxes. Consider what factors are most important to you and give them a shot. :)

Thank you for you great video! I am just new in candle business. I am in Europe and looking for the right candle wick. I have tried your test with candle wicks in winter and now again. I am using coconut-soy wax and I tried HTTP wicks and others, too. Now I tried them again and probably because of the warmer weather, my candles burn faster and the result is different than before! :/ For example I tried size 83 which was not sufficient in winter (the wax pool was not big enough). Now I tried 83 again and in 2 hours the was pool was too big and wax too melted :( What should I do and how should I do the test, please?

Yah you might need to adjust bases on season. But also, htp wicks changes ab9ut a year or so ago. Maybe two different batches.?

Hi I have a question do you have any ideas on how to keep my candles from turning yellow I use 6006 wax and after about a month or so some will turn yellow in areas and it makes them look old. Any Ideas would help :)

Not really. It happens because of what is in certain fragrance oils. Mostly ones with vanillin or citrus notes. You can keep in dark cool places and that will help delay it. If using color, you can use 1/2tsp of UV inhibitor

I’m opening a mobile coffee kart. I thought it would be cool to serve my coffee, the driving force of my business, through a stainless steel mash tun. Figured that big shiny piece of industrial equipment would catch a lot of eyes. But as I began thinking about it: big shiny and expensive is the opposite of what I’m trying to do. I don’t want to look like some trust fund kid who wanted to open a coffee business so he just up and did it on a whim. I’ve been working so damn hard on getting this thing going and have struggled my whole life. Why would I want to look like some hipster douche trying to show off his flashy brewing equipment like all these million-dollar home brew restaurants? I built the kiosk myself or of pine and should be humble enough to focus on making sure my coffee is the best it can be. No need to try to flaunt how much money I can spend. This is the brand for those who spent their young adult years taking two buses and a train to get to work just to get to work and get their life together. This ain’t no starschmucks or some dudes who were inspired while on a vacation in some Alaskan cruise. This is an Everyman brand for those of us who have struggled. For those that have been homeless or slept in the park because life can be a challenge but they still came ahead. This is a real grass roots business made by real people: Not investors.
