The thing that I love even more than the kid itself is how accepting and supportive the people participating were. Been playing doom for close to 6 years now. He’s really good, especially for playing for only 1 year! The main tips I would say is actually play closer to the team, so they have sightlines on your target or dive together depending on these comp. Commit to using your ult before you even have it. If you are at ~85-90 % when diving their back line full int waste all your cd you should get a kill and ult and use it to either get out or to get more kills. (depending on team comp, you don’t want to dive into sombra cass). Other than that it’s minor things like working on punches and aim, but tbh he can def get to masters without improving mechanically. I actually think the main issue is the onetricking. Against a Doom and a Sig you won’t find much resistance. Doom has quite a favorable matchup against a lot of tanks. But a good Orisa, Hog, Mauga is probably an insta loss if you can’t swap. Or just get supports that don’t fit the high healing that’s doom generally needs

@thehorse530710 ай бұрын
So true bro. Why am I spending like 2 hours on Voltaic Kovaaks playlists to face an 11 year old. If it's any consolation most of us would be close to this level aswell if our parents gave us access to good pcs. The younger you are the faster your brain learns. That's why most professional soccer players will have been playing since they were like 5 so the basic movements we're practicing have probably already become ingrained into this kids head. I used to play nothing but fighting games when I was a kid so I can thrash the majority of my friends at those kind of games without ever having played that game because the skills are so ingrained into me from a young age. Same with mouse control. Also the younger you are the faster your reflexes. The most impressive thing is his game sense. At 11 he understands a lot of what's happening and what pitfalls not to make, and he can track cooldowns well. Good mechanics is one thing because youth will help mechanics a lot, but game sense comes from a lot of experience.
@aheahe794310 ай бұрын
@@thehorse5307 absolutely, and as we get older and our reflexes diminish, we make up for it with experience. having good reflexes doesn't make you the best, that's why even though he's good for 11, he's still only diamond and makes a lot of mistakes in this video that even people in gold who've played for a long time, can see. biggest mistake he makes is relying on his reflexes and REACTING to what's happening. I don't have the reflexes to react like that, so instead we older people predict. "I haven't seen a bap immortality field in 20 seconds, so he likely has it, let me bait it out before going all in", type of stuff, i noticed he would always jump on the ana, get slept and just call out "ana no sleep" meanwhile experinced players, especially the ones playing dive heroes like doom, would know she has sleep and would wait until she uses it for diving in, worst place to be is slept next to an ana in the backline.

I think the biggest problem is that he overextends which is why the second match was a bit easier since they had lifeweaver. I think if he fixes that and starts using his ult more, I feel like it wouldn't be surprising to see him climb to masters or even gm at some point.
@andrearomanini704310 ай бұрын
His problem (for what I can tell) is that he does overextend a little, but it wouldn't be as bad if he could actually secure the kills; and there his aim doesn't follow up on the rest of his kit. Plus yes, he should be more ready to use the ult, but not as soon as he can every time. He is right for ulting only at the last moment, as long as he learns to track hard CCs that can prevent him from ulting.
@kripticlunar819810 ай бұрын
@@andrearomanini7043what doomfist ults is best for is for aggressive people like him because you can jump in get a kill then meteor strike out right away that’s the best way to use it unless they got cassidy or sombra so i think it’s best to use it right when he can to possibly get 3 in the round
@andrearomanini704310 ай бұрын
@@kripticlunar8198 Yes and no. Being very aggressive not always gets value: you can't get too much value in a 4v5 even with ult, you need your team follow up. Also you might prefer to just have your primary fire available in some clutch situations because it's quicker to secure kills. It depends
@Breggo110 ай бұрын
Its usually only over extending if the team doesn't capitalize on it. When 2-3 people are turning around looking at him, his team needs to press. Passive players are boring. There is nothing easier in this game than killing people that are forced to look in multiple directions.
@andrearomanini704310 ай бұрын
@@Breggo1 "The difference between inting and doing your job is wether you win the teamfight or not". Doom requires to be aggressive, but you need to enable your team to follow up on you and to use properly cover: which means "show your face and let them shoot you, up until when you can't take it anymore". He's very good, he just needs to figure out when not to be aggressive, which doesn't mean to have passive playstyle.

I myself am also a 11 year old and I also play 1 year and I do see a resembling between his gameplay and with mine :) but there is one big difference I can play every character but I’m not sure if he can do the same. But keep up the good work! 😁

Sadly as a doomfist main myself (started out at as DPS doom) ever since he became tank it’s been rough. Even if you’re doing super super well your teams always gonna say swap. I understand it because doom sometimes can make it so the rest of your team will be open. But if people learned to play with him he is a super great hero. This kid reminds me of myself. My pops got me into a game called task force dagger when I was too young to even remember. So I’ve been a gamer through and through all my life.
