This 1978 KZ1000 Journey #9 Mikuni 29mm Carburetor Rebuild

Preparing my Mikuni 29mm smoothbores for this project bike. How I removed 30 years' worth of paint and cleaned them up by dry soda blasting.

How is the street performance on those 34’s? I heard you can make them acceptable for the road. Smooth is everything for me so I have the old 28’s

The 34mm carbs are a great upgrade, and i wish I had installed them years ago. Pretty nice performance boost right out of the box. Very nice drivability and improved acceleration when you want it.
