I posted on this very channel about these lures a few months ago. I have been using them and catching a ton of fish, they are great for fishing rocky areas or areas with a lot of snags that I don’t want to throw rapalas or some other $8 crankbait. The Eagle Claw hooks are nice and sharp too. Good video.

New to fishing and picked one of these up.. empty the first day-prolly bad pond or spot. Then my second time using I caught 3 2-3 pound bass within 20 mins. Went cold for some reason tho so I switched up to a grub which works just as good if not better

I've past them up numerous of times. I heard a like a year ago they teamed up with eagleclaw to put eagleclaw hooks on all of their lures . I'm definitely picking some up today .

ozark trail makes fishing lure keychains that are usually ablout 2-3 dollars each. if you look through the lures that are being sold, there are the same ones with hooks on them for 5 bucks. its a lot cheaper to just buy hooks, split rings, and the lure keychains. just a tip for you

🎣 when it comes to trout fishing I do like using yo-zuri pins minnow. not too big and not too small, they're just the right size and they got some good colors. Yes the trout goes nuts over these too. My favorite color is to use orange flame. Great fish catching here.

Never hear of Ozark Trails... maybe because I’m in Canada. Walmart and Canadian Tire both carry the majority of major brands like Mepps, Rapaella, Berkely and such. Peavy Mart however carries some pretty neat stuff. Got a nice floating popper pike lure. 😉 I look forward to using it! Also, greetings from Saskatchewan Canada! Where we also need to run our Furnaces into May and even June. 🤣

I caught some nice saugeye at Griggs Reservoir with the clown pattern. Also some big bass on a few of the other colors. 8lb mono works best on these.

woah saugeye!! thats a mux between sauger and walleye thats crazy. those fish are over $100,000 fine for a sauger if u harvest them where i live…cant imagine the fine for a saugeye

I live a couple minutes from a really high end Walmart (I know, oxymoronic but it's been developed into a nice area) and have been buying all my gear from there. I needed to go pickup a couple orders up from Bass Pro and decided to spend some time in their bait sections, I noticed Walmart carries the same brands just with much less variety. I'm definitely sticking to my local Walmart for convenience

Weird, I bought this lure in Ohio last week and fished a creek, caught a bunch of smallies and rainbow trouts on it. I was impressed and will buy more. You do have to jerk them around to get the action that gets the fish to bite.

when you broke your pole i felt that pain. i broke two baitcasters recently... we have glass minnows and threadfin shad here. i swear that thing is like the perfect size of both of the baitfish here.. though the shad gets bigger they are also that small. im gonna have to try one.

I've honestly been a bit impressed with the ozark trail lures, not the world's greatest but my local pond is nothing but stumps and sunk limbs. Even on 45lb braid I tend to break stuff off and while I try to avoid it the place just has a lot of fish, it's like everyone has given up trying to fish it since shallow and stumpy. It works relatively fine fore texas rigs and stuff without an exposed hook but you can still snag on grass or lily pads. I've been bought a few of their cheaper lures tho to throw around and I really feel no heartbreak about losing them, I lost a sebile stick shad the first time I went there and I felt that as it was my "lucky lure" they don't cost but $10 but I really like this lure. Anyways I picked up a handful of the cheap ozark lures and while they don't look amazing I would say they are more along the lines of acceptable than just "cheap" in terms of look with decent action. I was surprised in all honest and the local bluegill/crappie really love their little $2 cricket lure.

I got this exact lure but mine is neon green on the bottom and silver on the top half. Ozark Trail. I bought like 5 different types of Ozark lures. I got 2 of these little ones. I caught my first and only fish with this little Ozark Trail lure. It's been my most used lure though. I use it on my ultralight and fish the neighborhood pond. I caught one like 6 or 7 inches long. I don't even know what type of fish it was. Just one of the little pond fish. You see schools of these fish all along the bridge and dock and I caught one of the big ones. I just started fishing like a month or so ago so I either bought my stuff on eBay or Walmart.

A lot of people laugh at these bargain baits at Walmart but they do work. I caught a 6lb largemouth on a $1 spinnerbait on the bottom self at the mart. (black with colorado blade). I have one of these minnow Ozark baits and will try it as well.
