A distant relative had one of these when they were new. The interior quality was stunning. The smell of the leather was intoxicating. The HVAC vents are made of solid metal and feel better made than most car engines. The power is just amazing. During normal driving it feels like someone is pushing the car from behind and the engine is not even running. It is dead silent inside and the car kind of floats along where you don’t even feel like the tires are touching the road. Outside styling is a matter of taste. For what it cost new, it is kind of ugly especially from the rear end but this was worth the price unlike a 2012 Mercedes Benz S class he bought new for around $100K. I recently saw one of these Bentley models at a Home Depot in hooptie condition with front bumper damage, dirt all over it, and probably all sorts of broken things. They are now “affordable” for ordinary people to buy but not to repair and maintain.

You’re spot-on in saying that this isn’t the Bentley one lusts to own as an enthusiast of the brand… but as an instrument of getting from point A to point B as silently and quickly as possible, it is virtually without peer-apart from a Mercedes S600, in which the interior is simply a poorhouse compared to this. I’ve deeply considered making the jump to VW-I mean, Bentley-ownership from my own S600.

Good point in the title, Bill, I feel it too. Bentley used to be a hand-made sporty RR, but now it's a vw for the rich... The RR in the BMW assembly is almost free to do whatever it wants, as long as it works with BMW components. And all the main jobs are done by the British....like with lamborghini with the vw group...somehow it's a downgrade for bentley, even though it's still lucky to be alive and they're making something... A really nice car, but it could never have a vw badge or auto union rings, so it's a Bentley

Beautiful car. If you buy a house with extra garden area you can get someone in once a fortnight to tidy it up. It’s a small price to pay for having some extra space around you. Gardeners don’t exactly charge huge rates so you get good value.

It's true this Bentley has a lot of German technology, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. This car was built for volume with opulence which dates back to 2003 and many of which are still on the road. Some have over 100,000 miles on the clock and still going strong. Having that technology made Bentley more appealing and certainly saved the company from financial ruins.

I think I remember you did a 2006 Bentley Continental Sedan I think its called a Flying Spur I don't know what Flying means like wings in the sky.... I'm surprised some parts of Florida got snow I know up Northeast we got hammed and my 1994 F Body Formula when I was about to get fixed got delay so I didn't go to work depending on how much snow instead I bought another PS5 just not another PS5 it's the PS5 PRO that is about the price of my Trek bike with was so damn expensive as a PC like gaming system and some people told me not to buy it but I don't listen and it's not there money. I look at it this way I love Bentley and if I would have done things well I could have had one and live a larvish live with pretty maids to go to the bars with and have a cognac drink🍺 and smoking a cigar in a no smoking bar 🚭 I wouldn't give a damn even when driving a Bentley...

Yeah that is a Bentley. The latest iteration especially suffers from a cheaper interior due to cost cutting and no W12 cuz reasons. This is a fine ass car. Now the Mulsanne was a whole other beast but no one bought it.
