Hi guys. Is it possible to import mov chroma key files. My wish is to make videos for kids mixing videos of me(green screen) as a real character in a cartoon... Is this software able to import mov or mp4 files and 1ble to deal with chroma key? I know that after affects allows that but not really adapted to my needs.... Thanks to all of u and happy new year. ❤

I m not an animator just a starter pack why do people use Psd for Animations? If u hv knowledge on that please help me

You can use PSD or SVG. Both have their beneifts. SVG is scalable and in CTA5.2 you have colour management so you can customise the colours and looks of your characters quickly and easily. PNG has the benefit of being able to have elements with high degrees of texture. It just depends what the fndal project requires. But both are available.

It seems like this channel highlights Character Animator once a month. Is this really better than Moho, Grease Pencil, or ToonBoom. I have my doubts.

Well, Grease Pencil is free, Moho is very good (Pro version), and Toonboom is industry-standard and very good as well, but it's subscription-based. Cartoon Animator doesn't have any drawing tools at the moment, but it's cheaper than Moho... so it mostly depends on your needs and budget. Two other software (free) are Opentoonz (or Tahoma2D) and Synfig Studio. These have drawing capabilities and puppet animation but are more limited.
