Because the video is all about the hype. If you want to talk about how good the camera is...Talk about the sensor, the pixel itself, the lights, the image quality and the difference it has. Analysis it deeper . Educate on a deeper level if your title is behind the hype. A camera is not good just because it took Obama photos. That is superficial at best. I saved YEARS for my m6, I’d wanted one since childhood, buying was a great feeling but I hear so many people who just get into photography talk about buying an m6. @chrisklugh4 жыл бұрын
@@ErrickJackson Do you think you could do it 'blind'? Character has more to do with the lens then the camera itself. Any RAW image can be manipulated to look like anything really. The main difference would be the dynamic range. I'm sure side by side you could see a small difference. But in all these examples shown in this video, if they were shot on FF, the story would be identical to the views. Nobody cares what camera you have, just the photographer and his attachment to how much he paid for it.
@waawaaweewaa20454 жыл бұрын
I do see a lot of pictures that have the supposed medium format quality, that are just really staged studio photos that would look very similar in full frame. That said, medium format cameras have certain abilities with micro contrast and color that seem just out of reach of FF. I think the most compelling reason to buy a medium format camera is if you need tons of resolution for really large prints. That said, if you can afford it and don't need the speed that full frame cameras provide, medium format is probably also worth it for pro portrait and landscape photographers that demand the best quality possible.
@chrisklugh4 жыл бұрын
@@waawaaweewaa2045 Comparing FF with Medium is probably very similar to comparing APC with FF. Yes there are differences. But story is king. And the best camera is the one you have with you. Cell phones are monopolizing the photos people see. Don't get me wrong, as a pixel peeper, I do like my bigger senor cameras over my smaller ones. However, I'd rather have something I can carry with me always and capture shots I would never have considered bringing my larger cameras for. Small sensors don't monopolize the industry because they have great image quality, they monopolize because its easier to have them ready when a story breaks out. There are times I would not want to risk my $5k camera, let alone a $50k camera when my $500 camera does the job.

a camera should not be advertised as it shot Beyonce or the moon or monkey in the zoo .. who give a damn ... people buy your camera cause they love your deign and why is different .. you should change your PR team with people more creative and love your company and give real history about why Hasselblad 500 series is original with great image quality .. But not to say this camera shot everyone in the zoo so its the one .. its just a joke of a company and insulting photographers .. cause we buy these camera based on love to our passion of photography with help of nice gear ... whats your next ad is gonna be? this camera can shoot bananas and Brinty while showering ... ?

really? I'm shooting for decades and had been testing almost all top digital and film cameras (including middle format and large format) , and all of them have some unique specific look that you will never be able to imitate in post process. The superb quality , extreme center sharpness of 80/2.8 zeiss CF T* lens , even wide open - and contrast distribution (higher in center and little bit lower on borders) , the natural very pleasing vignetting and perfect chromatic correction can not be comparable to any other lens or camera, it is far superior. The center shutter is also rare if not unique in this class and allow use handheld camera without tripod on longer times than any other camera . finally - the shallow Depth of Field of 80mm at 2.8 with extreme resolution all at same time - has no rivals, you can of course get similar resolution by nikkor macro , or same depth of field by canon 85 1.2L or same contrast and color fidelity by few quality leica lenses , same chromatic correction at particular distance by specialized macro or enlarger lenses - but not all at same time in daily use camera. Hasselblad is unique, even newest expensive middle format digital models by Fuji or Hasselblad can not rival old 500 C/M + 80 CF T* + provia 100 or kodak EPY or FP4 or TMX, just can not be even close to the legendary 500 C/M quality. To reveal that quality you need to use film under enlarger in darkroom and make print or use same good scanner, and here is problem why most people lose legendary Hasselblad quality. You are right only about one thing, you can quickly correct many things in post process today like barrel distorsion or excessive vignetting - but in Hasselblad it is not even needed, the shot is close to perfect just straight from camera , with circa 100Mpix not bayerized image- in most cases that superb quality is not even needed, and is also partial lost in some processing stages. On a web you may not even see quality difference of old nikon D40 or canon 10D with kit-lens post processed and best Hasselblad 500 shoots - but you will see the soul , the specific look of contrast distribution , the dynamic range and depth of field - that no editor will ever be able to add in post processing. it is not only about dynamic range, pixels - or lines per mm - it is about unique character, soul . If you say that many camera can do the same - you had not have experienced many cameras, or had no Hasselblad in your hands, or prints made from it - I do not see other options. It is a legend, because deserve to be that called. it is not like other cameras, if you say that - you have not seen proof, and have to go to some exhibition or museum of photography where are prints from Hasselblad if you do not have occasion to see by your own (or friend) equipment and belive. just please, do not say things, that are not truth. 500 C/M is very old, not manufactured anymore , slow and expensive in working process - but still it is best daily use camera ever made.. there are lots of almost same good, and also many much faster cameras - but none same good and very very few made in short series, or single units that are better. 500 c/m is only camera manufactured in circa 100 000 units with so high level of quality, that is why it is a legend.

L'oeil du photographe fait la différence. L'appareil aussi performant et sophistiqué soit-il reste un outil. Pour ma part je n'ai pas les moyens d'acquérir Un Hasselblad. Mon Leica M6 argentique me suffit.
