"Trauma is the worst addiction there is". WOW. I never quite thought about that, quite LIKE that, but as he said it, I quickly reflected on how easy and common it is for people to kind of wallow in their trauma or overly talk about it to the point, they don't realize they aren't even PRESENT in the moment anymore. They've become accustomed to JUST talking about it, but not always ACTIVELY working on the part where it's now up to "self" to attempt resolving it.
@LadyGreyBlack13 күн бұрын
So true. It blows my mind how much trauma is shared on "Intervention", so you can definitely understand (but not condone) the addictions these folks fall into.

I had this realization once when listening to Nirvana's last song, _You Know You're Right._ I was so angry at my father and upset by what he had put me through, when all of a sudden I realized I was just _wallowing_ in it, and that _it had happened a long time ago._ In that moment I let go of it all and decided to just move on with life. Haven't spoken to my father since, moved halfway across the country, life got a lot better.

What I love about this is the authenticity of the story. A lot of these videos are about upper middle class and millionaires...I recall a billionaire in one...strolling around in the park reflecting on a privileged life. This is just a working class person meeting the challenges of life. We need to see more of these stories.

This was your best video ever. Interviewing someone who successfully made their way out of hell, to owning his own home and finding his passion and making a good living out of it…against the odds of addiction. Learning it’s in our power to achieve through forming a positive attitude that attracts good to us. Finding ‘our cores’, spirituality and faith. Thank you for this remarkable interview that taught us all so much.

People dismiss the importance of advisors until they are burned by their own emotions. I remember a couple of summers ago, following my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to assist my business stay alive, so I looked for qualified consultants and came across someone with the highest qualifications. He has helped me raise my reserve from $275k to $850k, despite inflation.

What I love here is that society took care of him when he was at his lowest. And that is how societies should be set up, being supportive when people are struggling and help them get up again on their feet, for the benefit of the society itself. Margaret Thatcher once said: "There is no such thing as society". And that is entirely wrong.

I am in shock that a government paid for someone to go to art school and then gave them a permanent full time job as an artist until retirement. That would never happen where I live. It's going to take me a while to process that!
