Also he is a defensive liability. Most switches onto a decent offensive player 6ft or taller is gonna cook him unless he gets a lucky steal but even then counting on a lucky pick is not something you want to count on every defensive play.

Small PG's can be just as effective on offense as any sized PG. The problem with small guards is defense. One bad switch and it's a nightmare matchup for coaches ESPECIALLY at the higher levels of competition.
@Nationof300

@@Nationof300 not in the NBA bro. And I'm not talking about an iso play, I'm saying they are going to see a small guard, immediately take a pick and roll, get a switch and you're gonna have a 7 footer in the post against a 5'11 guard and it's pretty obvious what's going to happen. There's also the JUCO route - which may give him more time to hit a growth spurt and get a bit taller. Dennis Rodman graduated high school at 5'9" and had no college offers - for 2 years he worked at night and played rec league ball. In those 2 years, he had a major growth spurt and attracted the attention of a community college scout. Rodman played 1 year of JUCO Ball and then finished out at a NAIA School, where he made All-American and got drafted by the Pistons. Life takes dramatic turns - stay focused and work hard on your Goals/Aspiration and they have a way of coming true.

Of course he doesn't have an offer. He is shorter than most of the dudes watching him from the stands. It might be unfair but height gets you into the door before skills.

Look at his competition. I'm not surprised there are no offers. He's good, but there's tonnes of other guys out there that are better in the same position. He just has the recognition here based on his small height, that's it.

Rebounding and defense are very important at the college level because everyone on college can score. But I definitely think he should have offers but that might be part of the reason coaches are looking over him.

As a short guard in 8th grade it’s hard to get a offer or looks because now people only look for height not skill they think if you’re tall you can play and I’m lucky enough to have people around who notice my game and I have been told I am a real point guard so for all my small guards not ones who are 5’7 I’m speaking to my 5’3, 5’0 maybe smaller guards truly keep working and don’t let your height discourage you I really mean that and if you read this whole thing good luck in your future

this is exactly why I quit at highschool level. I thought I would keep growing but I stopped at 5'6 and I've seen this story too many times. i still love basketball but it hurts to know losing the genetic lottery to someone a foot taller than u will never get you D1 even if you put in the work.
