You have to buy the white one to film a wedding dress

I think the ZV-E10 MK 1 might be the best C or D camera for wedding ceremonies that you can get. Very cheap. Maxes out at 4k30. Doesn’t overheat. No record limit. I’ve been using two of them for my ceremonies this year and they’ve worked GREAT. If you need an extra angle for something and you know it’s just going to be sitting on a tripod the whole time at 24 or 30p, it is the perfect camera to have! I almost waited for the MK II but based off the specs and these reviews I’m seeing, I’m kinda glad I just went with the MK I.

As someone who had 2 cameras overheat on a wedding day. It is not worth the risk. You will lose your client and your business taking this risk. I was saved by my second shooter and after that went to the store and bought 2 x FX3's. Going cheapo for pro work is a sure way to have a short career.
@harryvuemedia6 ай бұрын
you are right about not worth the risk but you can easily fix this overheating on the E10ii. Just buy the fans for it and that will help the camera last longer. I bought a few Ulanzi fans for my a7iv to ensure that no overheating happens. They are affordable at $40 usd. Besides using faster write speed cards, having a fan on the back of the camera helps it a lot. And yes, i would only use the e10ii as a B-cam and have my FX3 as my A-cam.

I really just want to know if one of those cheap external fans would be enough to toss on for an extra angle at weddings or not. Not that I personally need one, but I’m still curious haha

The video quality is freaking amazing for such a little camera. I think the overheating on the E10ii can be solve by using Ulanzi fans. I have a few of them for my a7iv and never once have to worry about overheating even in hot & humid weather. Even though cameras like the Asiii and a7iv are great at dissapating heat, i prefer to have a cooling fan help them out some more. Without ibis, for sure the e10ii needs to be stationary or be on a gimbal. Those shaky footages are tough to fix so best to avoid them. Otherwise, this e10ii is tempting to purchase. I do need a smaller camera for tight space recording and this e10ii can do the trick. Besides that, e10ii literally made the a7Sii so worthless now. You be lucky to sell your used a7sii for $500 usd. At a price tag of $1,000 usd, hard to pass up this e10ii for a used a7sii and a7iii for videos now.

Best image quality for video: Sony A7CII or Sony ZV-e10II?
@pureheartvisuals6 ай бұрын
Good insight Matt, I’m a big fan Bro.. bought your cables and everything 😂 But I have to call out you & the Internet community. 😂 I just noticed the comment section on EVERY review of this camera is so accommodating with Sony overheating but you literally smashed the Lumix S9 out of the gate as being not good for Weddings for placing recording limits to prevent overheating. Although not full frame, not optimal IBIS…etc….But you are seriously validating this one even with with crippling. Like Go from ZV-E10 M2 to the FX30 for $800 more for no overheating or go from the S9 to the S5 II for $200 more for no overheating. The point is, We really are tribal Camera snobs Bro. 😀 My homie called me the day your S9 Review dropped and told me you said the recording limits & overheating was a deal breaker…😂
@whoismatt6 ай бұрын
I think the biggest difference between the S9 and ZV-E10ii that upset so many filmmakers is that the recording limits are a hard stop of 15 or 10 minutes on the S9. With the ZV-E10ii on the other hand, the camera could record for hours internally in an air conditioned room, and it's only when you bring it outside that it overheats. I think this is a really big distinction to keep in mind between both cameras, and I tried to recommend that if filmmakers were concerned, spend the $800 extra for the FX30 with a fan. :)
@pureheartvisuals6 ай бұрын
@@whoismatt 😅 Agreed on the hard stop, it just threw me off that, “this would or could overheat outside 😯”. And people were like, okay so just don’t bring it outside. I’m like Dude are we being real right now 🤣

IBIS is kind of a big deal and a deal breaker for me. I don't need this camera since I'm deep in my career...But if I were starting out, I'd skip it. Getting a smooth B-Roll is hard enough when you're starting out and you don't quite know how to do it well and consistently. Imagine doing it without IBIS, lol.
