The day I did the video on this Adams Arms P2 12.5 inch .308 pistol, I really didn't want to do the video.
I was tired and hot, and I knew I was about to have my shoulder beat to death by this gun because it was a 12.5-inch .308 pistol. And that's precisely what it did, beat my shoulder to death, but somewhere in that punishment, I found pleasure.
I know this sounds more like a 50 Shades of Grey plotline, but it's true.
As I kept shooting it, the gun's drama became fun.
It's like those days when you really don't want to go to the gym, but you do anyway, and you end up having a really good workout.
That's what my experience was like with the Adams Arms P2 12.5-inch .308 pistol.
So come along with me as I explore the painfully fun Adams Arms P2.
Also, I want to let you know that my favorite in-ear Wireless Bluetooth hearing protection, the Blackouts, is available again

Mr. Noir, respect your knowledge as an attorney and your desire to promote second amendment and legal rights that people have. Serving in the military it's refreshing to see someone like you. To my second point, would you please stop associating with uscca. They're not the best thing out there, they're in the business to make money and if they can drop a client in the middle of cases that's a problem. We all know that the better lawyer and more money is what wins and is not necessarily about justice. So I don't know if they pay you to be a sponsor, but please hold on to your integrity. You're a lawyer, so you know what they do is shady. Please keep up the good content and I appreciate your videos.

@vicdiaz5180 yeah, I was disappointed with CNs one short sentence about the piston performance. Best to go with AAs full upper kits... I built 2 just using the piston and gas blocks, a pistol and rifle length. Intriguing not needing gas rings on the bolt (now have extra for others) and the spring they add into the system..(on the firing pin?). The rifle length has been more work to tune, the barrel I used seems to be under ported, so been opening that up. With the micro adjustable 100 open I was having cycling, failure to feed problems. And brass at like 4 to 5 oclock. I kept lowering the buffer weight and tried a lighter spring before opening the porting ...also an issue with my handguard which was not quite open enough inside, so piston friction was inhibiting

People easily forget that .308 is 97.4% the ballistic performance of the 30-06 as well as it is shooting the EXACT same bullet.....
@ZombieWilfred
@ZombieWilfred 11 ай бұрын
Mostly true. .308 is great because it is pretty much the same performance in a smaller overall size, but only works well with the "standard/common" 30-06 bullet weights. The heaviest 30-06 bullets, like 200gr, don't really work well with .308 case. Definitely a nit pick, though 😁
@Simon-talks
@Simon-talks 11 ай бұрын
nah, it's completely true. A 200 grain bullet out of the 30-06 is inefficient and shouldn't be used. Use a 300 Win mag for that.....if you chronographed those 200 grainers out of your 30-06 rifle(don't believe the box numbers, they lie and use 26-30" barrels for testing to lie about their numbers), you'd find that they are only going under 2400 fps, lol.(almost 30-30 speed). .308 is 97.4 % the ballistics performance of 30-06....

@constructiveruckus86 11 ай бұрын
Well now I know!
@ZombieWilfred
@ZombieWilfred 11 ай бұрын
@Simon-talks Nah, it's not, you can go heavier if you want to, people use 220 gr with 30-06 for shorter ranges, and if you're going with the heavier bullets you're not trying to get higher velocity anyway. Yeah, 300 win mag would be more ideal for heavier bullets, but that supports my point, it's because it has more case capacity and you can go even heavier with that round if you want. 200gr and 220gr might not be efficient in a 30-06, but would be even less efficient in .308. There are use cases for those heavy 30-06 rounds, like dropping large game inside 200 yds where it makes sense. Most people reading your comment would assume that you're saying .308 can use any and all 30-06 bullets just fine and get 97.4% of the performance or of them, which is not true of all 30-06 bullets...

Sorry Colion, I dont trust USCCA to not drop me like a hot rock the second things go south. They're a paper tiger. Might bite back with a papercut here and there, but quit when the going gets tough. I would prefer going with a no-holds barred, non-pussyfooting-around organization that still has their own balls. Hopefully someday you can make the change too.

Suggestion: Mention to Adams Arms that positive locking back up front sights exist to prevent the pop up of the front sight. Also, I would think that would be a great platform for 220 grain subsonic with a quiet device.

EDIT: Anyone wondering about why I commented this look up Heavy Duty Country’s coverage about 2 separate events where USCCA clients were not represented appropriately by USCCA or were charged back because USCCA specifies in their contract that they will not represent a person charged for a crime regardless of guilt.

Well if you use the ammunition made for short barrels like the 110grains or 130grain rounds thyre gonna not only be considerably faster out of a short barrel the 110 hitting 3000fps from a 12.5in barrel but also have a reduced recoil compared to the standard 175grain rounds an allows you to shoot out just as far with that 110 to 130 from a 12.5 as u could shoot with a 20inch 175 because theylle both stay supersonic out to about the same distance. So basically pick the right ammo and itll be fine

Honestly, for concealed handgun, I will go with a midsize because it has a full-size grip with a shorter barrel and comfortable to shoot For rifle if you don’t own one yet, I would go with a 5.56 first mainly a 16 inch From either Adams arms and if you want to get real affordable Smith & Wesson M&P-15 is an affordable AR. Go with those two for starters and then you can move up and down on the scale as far as variation and taste goes

Videos arent bad for ideas but go to rental ranges before you buy. You can't feel the weight of the gun by watching videos. That was the mistake I made with the CZ I was hoping to carry with.

Fun fact when it comes to SBRs cut down to this degree, or artillery for that matter. It doesn't matter how much you protect your hearing after a certain volume level, the conduction due to concussion will still cause you problems. Which is why you probably want to run a can on something like this, or... Just run with a longer barrel and not have to fuss with it.

@@jjmckay6man1 Your skull gets vibrated from the SPL levels of concussion, which conducts the sound to your inner ear anyway. Minor cases just behave like shooting without hearing protection, prolonged exposure to concussion above a certain level causes a TBI. Moral of the story, stay away from muzzle brakes.

30-6 is more than a 308. Little bonnie of Bonnie and Clyde used a 30-6 BAR, and was kicking ass with it...And the M-1 Garands we used in WW-2 /Korea shot 30-6. Only on that part alone that gerneration was the greatest...

a bar ranges from 15-22lbs depending on the model version All it takes is a little logic is figure out that a 15lb gun will recoil less than an 8lb ar10, even if that ar10 is shooting a slightly less powerful round. It's like shooting 45 out of an all metal normal 1911 vs shooting 40sw out of a sub-compact all polymer gun.

Yes, External ballistics does show the 30-06 possessing up to 14% more velocity and energy past 300yrd, cool..but also 14% more recoil, around 34ftlbs..

And Bonnie & Clyde cut their 30-06 BAR barrels down to make the weapons shorter. My paratrooper father jumped with the BAR during the Korean conflict era.

I have a 308 pistol from Aero at 12.5" (built the lower paid 650 for the upper.. Total around 1.3k with my "acog" style scope) and yes the recoil is more but i wanted something loud af... wasn't that bad at all.

Great video on a great gun. I'm building my own 12.5" .308 pistol for a fun truck gun, but I also have a 12.5" 8.6 Blackout to go on the .308 lower as well. Try out the 8.6 B.O. to go with it, that would be another great video ! The 8.6 B.O. rounds are a bit pricey, but that 1:3 Twist Rate really seems to OPEN THINGS UP as they say.

I've mag dumped a s&w 308 ar10 a few times but it was a 16" barrel. I loved it, there's a thump but It was completely manageable. Although I would like to have a ar10 pistol i think for now ill just build the 16" first. Sweet pistol though
