It seems like an automtatic Jet Star and I approve. Bulova keep doing this. I'd like to see so more standard colors as well, black, white, blue. Also, I would prefer bit more brushing or if you're going to do so much polish add a good hardness coating. And Bulova ask Citizen to start providing more Miyota 9000s you deserve it.

Every once in a while, Bulova gets it right. I picked up the Bulova Lunar Pilot of which I've wanted for years to match my Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 version, but the original LP was gigantic on my wrist. The 43mm new version finally solved that problem. This watch I'm going to take a look at because I think Bulova got it right again. It's attractive and I'm looking for an everyday dress watch. Yes ! Kudos to Bulova and Citizen. They've stepped up their game.

I recently purchased the avocado version and absolutely love it ! In fact it is my first Bulova and am really digging it ! It’s a perfect size and looks like a million bucks on my wrist . Keeps time well and it’s very attractive . Keep up the great video’s !

My local jeweler has the green dial model and the pictures online don’t do it justice. The iridescence makes it gleam like a deep green pearl. I told myself “this isn’t the same watch I saw online.” Just ordered a blue Super Seville off of Bulova’s site. Bulova is making some impressive watches but they’ve been doing it well a long time. Thanks for the review. Just became a subscriber.

The watches remind me of the Tissot Gentleman but it does have elements similar to the Date Just. The 8200 Miyota may be an issue for some, but I think they look very sharp!

Hey Chris, I like the shape - looks very much like their recent Jet Star reissue. I already bought that one (with the Precisionist smooth movement), in the same red dial that you preferred here. So if I was going to get one of these it would have to be the Pistachio dial, however that colour only comes on the leather. And I can’t find the bracelet available separately. Do you know if the Bracelet from my Jet Star model would fit the profile and lugs of this model? - if you happen to have both available to try! Last year’s Surveyor models were 42mm and had open-heart Miyota movement (8S20) with no date. Same case shape and dial details though. I prefer the size and layout of this new iteration.

Orient has waaaay better looking watches for half the price. For 400 USD you can get an automatic Orient with moonphase complication (day/date is there by default) with gorgeous dial design. I'll just leave a few model ref. nos for your entertainment, all under 400 USD (most under 300, actually): RA-AG0027Y10B, RA-AK0010B10B and it's variants, RA-AR0010R10B and it's 3 STUNNING brothers and the super-textured and multi-layered RA-AS0007S10B. Bulova is really making fun of us with these mediocre, overpriced "homages". Serioulsy, that "maroon" dial - I have it on a 3 Star Orient and it is gorgeous, I agree, but it's not 375 EUR material. Bulova is going the "fast money" track, just like Citizen (MMMMMOMMY) and Seiko and this is only going to result in people migrating to other brands. And there are other brands out there which offer a lot more for 400USD, and even for 200USD.
