Back in the peak of Disney SW (Mando s1&2, Andor, Clone Wars last season) I saw people wanting Revan brought back into the canon and some thought that with the success of the Jedi games and announcement of the remake some people seemed to have hope for a good show set in the old republic era

Theory said it best, Star Wars fans don't care what the character looks like if the story is compelling. The problem with Disney Star Wars is most the female characters are Mary Sue so they have no flaws which makes them a bland character. If a female defeats a sith lord who cares? it's about the journey... the story. Edit: People never had any issues with Padme or Princess Leia because they were written well and knew there strengths and weaknesses. People of all race and gender can relate to Luke, Han Solo, Princess Leia and even Chewbacca. It's not the exterior It's the interior that makes characters interesting and relatable

First off my guy: this is an era of war, so people are built different. They use all means to be able to combat the enemy, Sith or Jedi. Mentally, soldiers are prepared to die a hundred times over for their faction. Even the Jedi in this time were trained more for warfare than simply studying the Force, because the Sith were powerful and many, and many talented individuals arose to tip the scale at various times. The perfect era to tell a story on the big screen.👋☝️

I would kill for a Game of Thrones style animated anthology series set in the Old Republic where we follow a wide cast of characters through different plot points over the span of several years! As someone who played the Star Wars the Old Republic MMO games and got really invested in all the stuff it brought, I feel like there is so much that could be done with it. Though seeing as the higher ups at Lucasfilm seem uninterested in doing anything Old Republic related outside of small references here or there, I doubt anything of the sorts will come.

They could as in the CGI artists that made these make smaller cinematic movies from their game and make so much money. Dont need to be series or long movies. Simply medium length action packed sections. Simply a gold mine if lore accurate. These cinematics are so great, you wont find many errors in them.

"It has little story, little character work, just a ton of flashy visuals" I'm sorry are you talking about Disney or the old republic, because if it's the later, the old republic has very iconic characters specially the villains, a very well established lore, and the most consistent continuity in Legends (a lot of legends lore contradict each other when it comes to the original trilogy and onwards stuff).
