Nah they need to special summon from ED twice. R-E Fusion prevents that. you also can't bait with it as it has to be the last thing you do as you can't summon after bringing it out. It's only really crazy in trap decks with a couple summons. I bought it anyway lol because late game it can go crazy and it also can play around SOME opponents boards as you can establish monsters, mikanko (for a bad example) and use their snatch steal plays effects after ty-phon is summoned but still the card is not that Great

I really hope there is some absolute madlad out there that is already cooking with Gouki The Great Ogre or similar ways to reduce their monsters attack below 3k just so he can avoid the Dark Zeus floodgate.

If you're playing Gouki, it can't out Powerload, and you're not going to use its activated effect much

It can't be made early in the turn cause of the restriction to summoning after its summoned, but as for a board break it's a good extra deck option. I just don't see it being as game break as people think cause if you summon it early ya it turn off most boss monsters but can beat over them, but if you do it later on you already either broke thier board or they used all the boss monster effects so it's just a bounce with a 2900k body and restrictions that basically ends the main phase.

This card reminds me of Mirror Force in Goat format, where it’s a great equalizer that can force opponents to think about which monsters to combo off on the first turn.

It isn't, did my research but usually epurrley noir ends on 7 materials for a little bit over 3k attack off of plump so it combats the deck well either way if your opponent goes into that combo line which is usually the go to in that deck.

@@scarr8262 only with Delicious memory and even then it needs 7 materials to hit over 3k. It had 1100 base, and delicious memory gives +300 per material.

In theory this card is a problem solver for some difficult situations. When I play tear I usually have problems against monsters with targetting protection like dragoons or borrelend. I`m excited to play this card irl :3

One important note to make is it doesn’t turn off passive skills like avramax protections and non targeting and destruction protections for borrelend and dragoon. It only stops them from activating effects.

I could easily see this being a side deck card for a lot of combo decks. Even decks with a tight extra can typically shave a spot if needed and it seems a lot easier to have a strong going second option in the extra that you can side in rather than relying on drawing a board wipe like Evenly. The summoning restriction also applies later in the turn so there’s nothing stopping a combo deck from playing like normal into a board and slapping this thing on board at the very end. Something like Runick Spright Fur Hire plays under the 3000 attack floodgate and doesn’t have to lock itself with Gigantic most of the time.

This card is an actual ambulance. Does NOT need to be good or bad in making boards, It just need to save your ass against your opp. And he does save your ass if played right.

@@Rabbitlord108 Not to be mean or anything but I don't know how you didn't realize that Typhon is supposed to be a counterpart to Zeus because I really don't know how you can make that even more obvious ^^ Similiar Design, same naming convention, greek mythology, big rank 12 with alternative summoning condition and an ATK that equals its DEF? Also the whole effect is designed to counter Zeus. It can be summoned after your opponent summoned at least 2 monsters from the extra deck and you have to at least summon 2 times to make Zeus (the Xyz + Zeus itself). Also Zeus has 3000 ATK so it can't activate when you summon Typhon so you can easily bounce it with its detach effect.

@@Rabbitlord108 Lore wise it's incredible card design. Typhon was a monster birthed for the sole purpose of ending Zeus, while it was a calamity for humans. Every god fleed the country, except Zeus who beat Typhon using his thunderbolts (and in some versions also helped by Athena). The card will counter Zeus by preventing him from wiping the field, but it will still lose against Zeus in battle. Zeus is "Divine Arsenal" and "Sky Thunder" while Typhon is a "Stellar Nemesis" and "Doomstay Star" perfectly mimicking the lore above. I would even add that Zeus is used to aggressively dominate the field going second (like he spearheaded the attack on the Titans), while Typhon is used out of spite for the opponent being on the winning position by trying to stun them enough to buy you a turn (like he was born out of the hatred of the Titans being imprisoned)

Well Zeus has a boardwipe so usually when someone is put on field that threatens it you just use that. Ty-Phon on the other hand in't meant to be a card that last long.

Card is pretty mid in all honesty. You can’t open it due to the restriction. And bouncing a single card by your turns end won’t help often won’t help you win. It’s a mid game card for countering Zeus and nothing more.
