Why start a company, hire artists, animators, modellers, writers, directors, pay for equipment, etc. When you can just pay a small fee to an AI, draft a script in under an hour, and have it fully rendered and feature length in a day? well people can earn money with ai, just not this way. Imagine if ai is used to create frames between 2D-animated frames that otherwise would cost millions of dollars and thousands of hours to draw. With AI, those frames between actual frames can be automatically generated for smoother motion and look like actual animation. It's just one of the areas ai can be used *without* taking people's job but making different projects possible.

Current AI isn’t actually trained to recognize anything, which is why it’s so notorious for fucking up certain details, like hands for example. It’s basically trying to create the more accurate recreation of what we define something as, thus leading to cases like where it was attempted to be trained to make a fish, but mostly drew guys holding something, becuase it had ‘learned’ that that’s fish always had someone holding it in the pictures it sent. It had no concept of the difference between that fish and that person. To have something do what you’re suggesting we’d need an AI that can understand and read the concept of the lines and the colour and the movement and context and probably even prompting for what to do with it, which is a huge change and difference from ‘most accurately recreate the general idea of these thing I’ve been shown 100 pictures of’

As much as I would love to have a movie instantly generated, a lot of hard work and effort also goes into making movies and I wouldn’t wanna take it with a grain of salt and just pump out ai video after ai video. Technology has come to a point where just about anyone can make movies with a simple prompt, and soon really good directors, producers, writers, and more who have been able to create spectacular pieces of cinema will get thrown out and replaced with ai much like the talented artists that got thrown out because of the whole ai art fiasco going on. I imagine that Disney will sort of just look like a hypocrite for suing this trailer, my reason to think that is because Disney itself is promoting AI usage such as making actors look younger, they have an entire movie that basically makes AI the good guys. So they either might or let the creator off with a single warning, and if that creator makes another ripoff trailer, Disney might actually sue them.

There is a law that states that AI Generated content cannot be eligible for copyright. If companies were to use this, this might cause legal trouble. It’s still quite early to judge despite the effects starting to show, because we don’t know how big it really is. Again, only use AI stuff as tools, not as work.
