As someone who plays both Val and OW, I think I know exactly what happened. This guy got into an argument with someone and decided to prove that OW is an easy game and that all you need is aim. He went into a game and had 0 clue what was happening but blamed it on the guns not working the same way and it affecting his aim, so he got hacks to prove that all you need is good aim to win in OW. This video is what happened next

In fact according to the stats for valorant cheaters the number of cheaters has not increased since the launch of the game which ALOT ALOT of games cannot claim that, that’s because 99% of the time the longer a game has been out the more cheaters the game will have and valorant hasn’t had an increase in cheaters because that’s how good their anti cheat is, you can learn all this information from devs breaking down the statistics for their anti cheat on one of streams/video which 99% games don’t do at all. As their scared they might say something that exposes a vulnerability in their anti cheat but valorant ant scared of shit since their anti cheat actually does it job and bans/prevents/spots cheaters way better then any other anti cheat on the market.

sorry to piggy back off of this but it reminded me of my very first comp game. i literally just got my pc during the summer of 2022 and my first comp game was in december and i got screamed at by an adult man over mic and his duo in chat because i wasn't good. turned me off from overwatch for about 6 months until my friends got into ow and we started playing together. people like that really suck the joy out of any competitive game. edit: still have a fear of playing comp bc i hate being yelled at and i dont like dragging teammates down but im trying my best!

This is the best of both worlds. Not only do we get to see an aimbot cheater video......We get to see a non aimbot cheater, get his game ruined. Serves him right for creating another account. I know getting an ALT account isn't "cheating" but it manipulates the already struggling match making balance. In the big picture, it makes the game unfun for the other new players (along with the aimbotter). Thanks for the contribution of ruining incoming players games, so they don't want to play again. I mean I made an account to practice tracer and hanzo, since I litterally got smoked in my normal qp games I wasn’t improving at all just getting smoked trying to work on my aim, (diamond using junkrat and bastion) I got insulted in qp multiple times so I made a new account to try it out, then first couple games were obviously kids or brand new players so I didn’t sweat, and the matchmaking eventually put me in like gold-silver qp lobbies where I’ve been able to practice and I’ve improved a lot. I feel learning characters that take a lot of skill to learn is an acceptable reason to “Smurf” since I couldn’t even play in my normal games without wanting to commit sewerslide🤷‍♀️

I’d like to see flats make a video on just how rampant cheating is in OW2. For it being such a new game it shouldn’t have back to back lobbies with cheaters. Sometimes multiple cheaters per game. It’s inflating numbers and causing characters to get nerfed. The devs see “oh these bronze players picked up widow and suddenly went up to gold” without accounting for the fact that seemingly 5% of all players are cheating (and that’s a massive number) and something like 60% of those cheaters are playing characters like widow and soldier. No amount of nerfs are going to fix their terrible anti-cheat. And is honest, struggling players don’t deserve to be hindered by them in our rank, let alone on the stats of our favorite characters. I literally just got off the game after getting three games in a row against cheating hitscan dps. 2 were soldier and the last one was bastion. 3 games in a row with cheaters is something you might expect from a 10 year old call of Duty game. Not a game that “supposedly” came out in 2022. If you look on the websites where people get these cheats they have entire menus of crazy cheats everything from aim bot to walls to more hidable things like “30% extra ult charge” or “25% extra damage on secondary abilities” or “all health packs fully restore health” some of these things would be hard to detect in replays. Given the sheer number of obvious aim hackers it makes you wonder truly how many cheaters are in this game.

You can’t change your damage stat, but you can affect the falloff damage range, or put your projectiles under the affect of a Baptiste wall permanently or give you the affect of a mercy boost but only when you right click. The options and workarounds are kind of endless. Hacks that make your health act like armor, put you under the affect of a Lucio speed boost but only when you hold spacebar, these hacks are insane. There are hacks I’ve seen in game that change projectile paths mid flight. Like hanzo arrows turning mid-air. It’s bonkers.

I started playing OW2 a couple weeks ago and caught on quick, easily doing 1:1 K/D or better from the start and was having fun learning the ropes, a lot of fun actually. But around late-afternoon every day I started to notice these weird consistencies where so many players would not die with 1 notch of health left even though I was clearly hitting the mark (like I got the drop on them with no healer around;) or when I would watch the replays of me dying (with full health) people would hit me with the most ridiculous "needle through a pinhole" b.s. 1-2 shot kills (with bow an arrow/throwing star characters from across the map) that in my opinion doesn't seem possible; or players that can somehow trace my head with perfect aim while I'm flying though the air in awkward ways (again from across the map.) I've played enough Halo and COD over the past 20 years to know what cheating looks like, and it sucks getting so frustrated by a potentially fun game that seems to be infested with 15 year olds who find it fulfilling to pown with mods. Between the cheaters, pros being matched up against newbies, and obviously broken characters (looking at you Moira and Mercy) it's just not worth the effort of finding fair play. I ended up deleting the game and am currently on the the lookout for a better balanced and more roach free FPS. Does one even exist anymore? Any suggestions?

It does make it hard to ignore the possibility it's just a skill issue tbh - especially when I could hear you out for just about any of the other Supports in the game. Zen, Ana, Brig, Bap, Illari, and Kiriko are all characters I would be far more willing to hear you out on why they're "broken" than Moira and Mercy, and that's 60% of the Support roster. Mercy _can_ be broken if she has a cracked hitscan or flier to pocket, but if you don't have a particularly good DPS to pocket, then she becomes pretty underwhelming overall - so I would hesitate to count that as being a "broken" character if they're only broken when they already have another particularly skilled teammate to help them. Moira though - I mean, don't get me wrong - she does good numbers, so she is certainly playable, and there are a couple high rank Moira one-tricks out there. That being said she is _not_ "broken". She provides no utility to the team, her ult compared to the strength of other support ults is kinda underwheling, and she's only effective at both damage and healing up close. If you want a self-sufficient high damage high healing Support, I don't see why you'd pick Moira over Bap most of the time, unless it's because Moira's easier to pick up. Bao can do more at range, has a better ult, and you get immortality field as a bonus. Personally I play a lot of Support, and I play a very good spread of basically all of them, and mostly pick who I'm playing based on whoever is best for the situation of that particular game. While I still have about 12 hours on her, Moira is my least played Support - not necessarily on purpose, but just because I very rarely find a situation where Moira is the best pick. As someone who plays every Support, I only break out Moira if: A - There is a Widow that my team is not dealing with, and not going dps Moira on her means we will get destroyed by her (even then, Kiriko can be better for that if you struggle to get close). B - My team is so bad at maintaining space, and rapidly gives up huge chunks of the map to the enemy team so often, that I need fade as an escape tool on a short cooldown - otherwise I'll just spend the whole game getting thrown to the wolves whenever my Tank explodes or decides to bail on me suddenly. As you can imagine, neither of those situations are all too common for me, and if I ever just want pure dmg and heals on a self-sufficient Support, Bap and Illari are usually more the Supports I turn to.

I know this video is SUPER old but as a non valorant player I do pop in and out of cover to take shots on Cass but only specifically against people shooting at me with fully automatic weapons (soldier, bastion, etc) and it’s a habit I picked up from being a comp Destiny 2 PvP player. Handcannons had high dmg bursts per shot compared to auto rifles so peek shooting made your duels easier.
