The fact that they kept things this experimental and interesting while being THIS HEAVY is insane. This is my favorite album of the decade so far and I honestly don't know if it will be topped. In my opinion, metalcore is entering a new golden age with new albums coming out very frequently that are either fresh, heavy, nostalgic, or a combination of the three. I cannot wait to see what impact this album leaves on the scene.

I only got into them this year from the new singles and I think the new LP is just fantastic (especially ecstatic as a Poppy fan), but A Tear in the Fabric of Life is just sooo incredible. It’s one of those rare EP’s that hits with the weight of an album and just feels so tight and satisfying every time. Only time will tell with this new one, but it’s yet another typical Knocked Loose W.

There is a reason why Knocked Loose has become as popular as it is despite being a hardcore band. This album is great as most of their projects are, and their new guitarist and vocalist is the reason for their new sound. We're all residents of Oldham County now Edit: Honestly its really smart how even though most of the stuff they experimented with on this album is sprinkled throughout the rest of their catalogue, them choosing to throw it all onto this album was one hell of a combination. Not only that but once the shock value wears off from bumping this album enough, those ambient and extra percussive elements are 10000% gonna be what keeps me coming back to this one, even if my favorite still has gotta be A Tear in the Fabric of Life.

Metallica used the St Anger snare in I Disappear, which was a single they made for the Mission Impossible movie, and it actually wasn’t that bad. Maybe it just wasn’t as noticeable.

This album makes me so happy. The best release of the year so far and I doubt anything can top it.

Respect, 9.5/10 for me, but I’ve loved all the singles up until the release so the bar was high but it delivered in my opinion. The Calm That Keeps You Awake rips. Blinding Faith is the wildest ride. Suffocate was unexpected, but tough as nails. Loved the whole project.
