You can always spot a Cruiser when they say "Deck" instead of Floor.... Looks like a very nice hotel for the price -- do they provide shuttles to the Port of Miami, or do you Uber over?

Especially knowing I can visit the sister location, get s seat on the beach, those nice eatery places, the view from your room/ that large window and view from pool area of the Miami Cruise Port!!!! Plus a shuttle ride to the cruise! Love it 😎

Love the vid J. However, as a South Floridian I kept cringing everytime you quoted the summer as peak season. Summer is LOW SEASON! November to April is peak season (HIGH SEASON) in S. Florida because the snowbirds from up north, Canada and around the world are here en masse. So, the price now is LOWEST. This only applies to south Florida 👍🏾

I was looking for a good Miami hotel near the cruise ports, awesome! Man, a lot of your content has been helping me lately (always has, but now I'm actually traveling again so it's helping even more lol) Edit: (why am I always editing my comments? xD) Forget you know it's fancy when you get those types of waters; you know it's fancy when they have more than one restaurant in the hotel omg. And that price is VVVEERRRYYY reasonable! WOW! I'm def keeping this place in mind when I go to Miami.

Hey Jay, That is a fantastic price for that location on a holiday weekend especially with those amenities. Personally, I prefer the IHG hotel group over Hilton. Anyway, I appreciate the tour. Have a great cruise.

Thanks for showing us this hotel. It looks great for the price. I'll definitely place this on my top list when traveling to Miami. I've always wanted to go to Miami, but thought the hotels were too pricey. You've changed my mind on that issue. BTW, I've worked with elderly and disabled patients. Please enjoy the fact you're able to walk anywhere. Don't take it for granted because when you get older, you'll wish you were able to move around as effortlessly as you do now. ;)

Whenever I cruise from Miami, always stay at Casa Victoria Orchid Hotel (507 Española Way, Miami Beach, FL 33139) super nice, extra large rooms (350 sq/ft) with kitchen and very inexpensive at $124 / night (Dec 2019). Only 2 blocks from south beach. In addition "Every Witch Way" tv show was filmed there several years ago. Highly recommend it.

Yes, but if you are staying there 1 night before a cruise, are you really going to use the spa? Being in downtown Miami, I would prefer to try a local restaurant anyway instead of the "sterile" hotel restaurants.

@@Steve_in_NJ agree I would not want to use the spa, or the particular amenities that this hotel has closed. I have however stayed at places where things I wanted were closed and it was disappointing. I just wanted to point out that sometimes when an otherwise good or even name branded hotel (like Hilton) has lower prices sometimes that translates to some of the amenities being closed. Once I found a good deal and the pool and restaurant were closed. I was traveling with my three year old son and it was hard. If the spa was closed I would not have cared. Just a point to consider. I'm always happy when a hotel room has electrical outlets on both sides of the bed because both me any my partner sleep with CPAP machines (sleep apnea). Many cruise ships don't have outlets on the bed sides which is another reason we don't rush to take cruises.

It is all relative. I could not afford this place on my retirement income but I could have afforded it when I was working. Given it’s prime location, it being the 4th of July weekend, and the amenities, that is a great price IMO.

Jay, I have a special request. Do you know anyone working on the Celebrity Solstice? If so, I desperately need to know the height of the toilet from the floor in cabin 1526. You see, I’m handicapped and need at least a 19” toilet. If it’s shorter it requires me traveling with a seat height adjustment which is large and bulky. Unfortunately Celebrity will only tell me the toilet is between 17-19”. This would greatly ease my anxiety about making this cruise. Thank you in advance.

Not cheap Jay, I don’t think you would be paying this yourself if it came out of your wallet, I find them for $120 - $150.00 and that’s total. Across the street from Bayside. The Gabriel is very nice thou. Have a safe trip. YVE Hotel $150.00 tonight.
