I have kept largemouth, bluegill, green sunfish, channel catfish, chubs, just about every pond and river species near me lol havent kept trout or smallmouth but would love to keep both. Trout require a swift current with colder temps so a few good wave makers should make for some happy trout!

This aquarium just looks great! And what a ride it's been on, from back when it housed buddy in your basement (thats around the time I started subscribing) to its first position in the gallery with its many different inhabitants and so on. But I gotta say, this is the coolest version of the tank so far :) On another note: Have you thought about setting up a tank with some convicts (Amatitlania nigrofasciata - Zebracichlide in Danish)? They are a simple cichlid to keep and extremely easy to breed. I have no idea which tank or where they would go in the gallery, but its kind of a starter cichlid: I had a breeding pair when I was 12, 19 years ago, and it taught me a lot about fishkeeping and -breeding. So it would be cool to show off in the gallery :) (sidenote: maybe have a tank in the gallery, where you change the stocking every six months, to show off different easy to keep and/or breed fish) Just a few thoughts, love the channel :)

I Love this tank. Joey it might be worth a look, I don't know if you have noticed at 9:30 - 9:35 you go in close on one fish it then starts flicking on the sand and stones. It could be nothing but always best to check if there's something irritating it hope it's nothing keep up the great work. 👌👍
@JayJay15596 жыл бұрын
I love the clown loaches. I would also love to see a video on smaller tanks, for those who live in units and what kinds of smaller fish one can keep other than neon tetras and guppies.
@mitchelll8996 жыл бұрын
If you want a nice 20-30 gallon tank go with either 8 mollies or platies as they reach 3 inches a fish. Or you can go the danio family the gorami family but be careful males like to fight each other. In a 30 you can also do highly aggressive tiger barbs. The other small fish you can enjoy in a 30 at 2-3 pairs are the peaceful to tetras of dwarf ram cichlids. Blue rams we had in a tank at PetSmart by accident with a blue acara and the skirt tetras all mixed for 3 months no deaths and the Rams actually bred in the tank happily.

I'm in love with african cichhlids. Dunno why, they're just amazing the whole breeding procces and their amazing colours and patterns. I mean even the most basic electric yellow MBUNA are just stunning. I bred my own male with pitch black dorsalfins and bright yellow body. im in love with that little guy. Such a treat for the eye!

@kng3rd6 жыл бұрын
That is a awesome tank. I do think you'll have to remove the hartweigi eventually since there will be a huge size difference and they will not breed unless they are the top predictors in the tank. The others will bully them. Let's give them their own tank, they are awesome. For the record the Argentina is my favorite. I'm betting you'll end up with just a pair of those unfortunately. Maybe 3 as a group and one sinspilum lol. A 14in aggressive fish is huge!!

I'm not telling you what you should do with your channel, but really what grabs the attention of the community you have created is the DIY aspect....the projects that you undertake. This is what makes you unique, distinguishing you from the rest of the aquarium youtubers. Again, its your channel do what you want but objectively I think what your fans truly appreciate is your focus on the DIY side of the hobby. There are countless other youtubers who could educate us Oscar keeping etc... but no one is as inspirational when it comes to actually building stuff. Maybe you feel different, or maybe i'm talking nonsense... no offense intended. If this makes you happy then by all means continue. Regards An inspired human being

Joey has a ton of DIY videos, you just need to look through the entire set. If there's something in particular you'd like to see but that he hasn't done a video on, put it in a comment. He's explained several times that he's done so many of so many kinds, there's little point to doing a DIY video just to do it.
@Gamerock826 жыл бұрын
There's plenty DIY vids already. Look through them. I for one enjoy where Joey is taking this channel lately. It's exciting and interesting. Like visiting a good buddy and chatting about the amazing collection he's built up. This feels natural and welcoming. This is the goal. All the DIY stuff was the playbook getting here. When new builds come up Joey will share that too. But these "fumbling" overexcited videos are exactly how the hobby feels for many of us. Sharing that feeling. Priceless. Keep me coming Joey.
