Branding consultant here. I thought it was crazy to change the name unless you're going in a completely different direction, which you're not. You've made a good decision. When you're sailing, traveling, cooking, etc., if they are regular differences, just put "sailing edition" or something like that to alert people.

he reminds me of my Irish Father.. the way he pretends he thinks himself marvellous. Dad used to catch sight of him self in mirrors.. stop and admire himself to amuse us as children.. My God Paddy me Boy but you are a good looking fella you know. we would crack up when little. lol. One day.. and he was not at all given to swearing.. he shocked two of my little friends by doing the same and adding, You are a smart fella.. but he actually said. ON PURPOSE.. you are a fart smeller.. again.. my brother and I fell around. they looked shocked to death because had just finished after stubbing his toe, exclaiming as only the Irish of a certain vintage could Jaysus Mary and Joseph. ANYONE with any Irish connection knows this is NOT swearing or blaspheming.. its just to stop them swearing and blaspheming.. the two little girls concerned said later they couldn't he said it. He did it to amuse. One day when we were teenagers we had a younger teenage cousin staying for a few weeks. Dad had purchased a kit to make a green house. he laid a wonderful concrete base and a red brick wall around it.. and we were helping him carrying them and he then bolted together all the parts in place. once that was done he had us in a semi circle like back in his military days.. right lads (no matter I was a girl), listen carefully, this is GLASS. This GLASS has cost me a lot of money and I dont want any of ye three handling it. you will smash it and cost me money.. so.. leave it to me.. Got it.. Yes day x 2 and One.. yes Uncle.. he promptly stepped back and broke 6 panes in one go by stepping on them. lol lol lol lol lol lol.. to his credit he said. Dont do as i do. do as I say! laugh.. he was the one laughing the most.. What an eejit! He would pretend he was walking the catwalk.. out in public..and dance with shopping trolleys in supermarkets back in the 60s and 70s when such stores played musak.. lol lol lol lol lol.. I look back with such affection at it.. He would be 100 this year and so like Philip. lol.

As it’s all coming together, the elements you’ve chosen look fantastic. With the marble sink/counter top, the black you chose for the cabinet was definitely the right choice. The lights, the faucets, all the different tiles …. It’s all looking really polished and beautiful. I feel for you with the wall plaster cracking … it really does seem like every time you change one element, something somewhere else is affected and needs addressing as well. Houses really are living things that need constant attention. Excited to see it done and to hear about the carriage house. That’s going to be quite a project. But you’ve learned so much along the way, you’ll likely find it much “easier” or at least less overwhelming to tackle.

Your bathroom marble top is beautiful; it was well worth the wait. Also, I hope you will consider making your Garden House (?) a place to 1) teach wallpaper and fabric design classes, 2) show more home renovation uses for the 3D printer, and 3) invite local artisans to come into the space and learn about the many renovation projects undertaken by your family since your purchase of the chateau. Dear Phillip, while our little house if sort of finished almost 11 years ago, I still watch videos like yours and hope I can sometimes learn a thing or two. But, this time I would like to share with you caulking trick which we learned from our tiler - we tried it many times afterwards and it works like a dream. So, you do not need any masking tape, special scraping tool or other things... Prepare only spray bottle with some water and a little dishwashing liquid - apply caulking on clean and dry area and than , before touching it, spray it liberally with water mixture. Than take a paper towel to have for wiping your finger and just go over caulked line pushing it gently in the corner /gap that you meant to fill. Keep your finger clean from to much surplus caulking i.e. wipe excess from your finger often. You will be amazed how easy and quick it is and how efficient. I cannot believe that this simple method is not shared and made known to every DIY-er... Now you might have a chance to test it in some new project and share with all your viewers. I hope to see more lovely changes in your home and send best wishes to your family in 2025 !
