I can totally get where you are coming from with missing your Mum on your birthday. My Mum has been passed since 2009 and my father last year. Some days it feels like it just happened and I just cry. I've learned it is ok to take time to feel this way and then it is ok to still enjoy life. Our parents, hands down, would want their children to live the most happy life they could imagine for us. So, I decided, I will live for them :) Thought I'd pass some living advice to help in those moments. Happy Birthday Sam! What a great birthday Monica planned for you! When I was staying in London for a while, I got homesick for Florida (I’m American). I went to a Pizza Hut near where I was staying. The interior was exactly like the one in my town back home. I had a coke and a pizza. The meat on the pizza was a little different than in America but it was close enough! It gave me a boost and I enjoyed the rest of my time there without any sadness!
