Larrikin was on of my favorite stops on my Kentucky vacation. The Bottled in Bond has become one of my faves in 2024. Even though it is Barton juice there are notes in it that remind me of Turkey. The 8 years of aging have given it a depth while keeping that cherry note. If the price came down a little I would easily recommend Larrikin as a daily sipper.

After watching your bourbon festival video, I decided to do a road trip and stopped down and visited Larrikin and purchased their single barrel. It was more than I usually spend on bourbon, but the single barrel was absolutely delicious. Great video!

I’m sorry for a random comment that has probably been answered before… but what is the weight bearing situation for those floating shelves behind you? Usually those aren’t rated for much, and you’ve got some really, really premium stuff on those shelves. A collapse would be catastrophic. In meteorological terms… those shelves have a whole lot of CAPE. Some days nothing happens… but sometimes it blows up.

Haha love the comparison of CAPE to the weight on the shelves. They are currently temporary but they are tied into 3 studs and can hold up to 75lbs. So about 28 bottles. Working on a renovation in the studio right now and those shouldn’t be up too much longer. cheers Gary!
