This Bow Hunting Broadhead Is Deadly For Deer!
Broadhead selection is one of the most critical choices we have to make as a bow hunter. There are a lot of choices on the Market and finding something that we are accurate and confident in can take a lot of time and money. For me I like to try different things to make sure I picked the best one. A lot plays into Broadhead selection including your particular bow setup. Having a Broadhead that does everything good is hard to find its one of those things where you have to give to get. I don't think any head is completely perfect because there are so many things that happen when you take a shot on a deer. Shot placement in my opinion is everything. However we don't always hit right where we were aiming so some people like a heavier arrow to increase their odds of penetration. Some people are limited to a lighter arrow because of their draw length and poundage etc. Some people prefer a fixed blade Broadhead while others prefer a mechanical Broadhead. I like the rage hypodermic NC mechanical which has a 2" cut. There are some trade offs for a head like this one depending where you hit you can deflect or not have a lot of penetration if you hit solid bone. After many hunts however, I still have been the most effective with this head. For me having that little extra room for error if I miss my spot is worth the risk. At the end of the day it's what works the best for you. That's the fun part of archery we can constantly make adjustments based off of experience to keep the very best setup in our hands!
