This London breakfast has to be in my TOP 3 - it is simply off the charts.
The Regency Cafe between London Victoria & Pimlico serve the best breakfast. If you follow Darren John ‪@DarrenJohn‬ you will know it has to be quality every time.

Service is fast & efficient and the food is hot when it's ready.

This reminds me of all the cafes that used to exist in this country. Breakfast used to consist of many items, like you said but we used to boil the potatoes and let them cool. We would then cut them into cubes and fry them at a high temperature and call them saute potatoes. Hash browns are an American invention and lots of people complain about them. Many people can't fry eggs today and mostly they remain raw on top so it's nice to see them cooked properly for a change. I worked into St. Pancras Railway Station in my BR days but I can't even recognise that anymore except for the outside shots in videos on YT. It looks more like a shopping centre now. We used to have about a three hour turn around time before the return journey but we wouldn't buy food in London because we couldn't afford to. Concentrating at speed is tiring for the driver and dealing with crime all the way to London is the same for us Guards, so we'd get a few hours to recover before the return battle. One driver always used to say "Let hostilities commence." just before we set off.

The whole plate looked fantastic but I can't think of the last time I looked at a plate and it was the chips that really caught my eye. Hand cut and chipped & double cooked, they looked perfect for a chip butty.

When I was in London in 2018 I stayed in a hotel by Victoria Station, great place! Breakfast looked off the charts!

my wife took me here a few years ago, she used to use it when she lived in London back in the 70s 80s and always said we should go and have a breakfast there, we did and my god was it good. loved everything about the place.

I saw an episode of a BBC Northern Ireland comedy panel show (The Blame Game) in which they were poking fun at an Ulster Fry that came with chips. Some people will always resist progress. My daughter orders potato cakes AND chips...she knows.

Another smashing film. Thank you so much for showing Victoria as a good friend of mine was working at the BBC and was put up for 3 months in a small bedsit which lets say was not in the best order early 1990's. Perfection on a plate for a breakfast. I stopped taken sugar in my tea roughly 20 years ago and I could never go back to it with sugar. If I'm given the wrong cup of tea and it has sugar it makes me want to spew.
