The guy playing piano is Ben Moody and a member of the band. Ben wrote this song at the age of 17 after his grandfather passed away. His grandfather raised him from a young age.Benin turn took care of him through a long sickness until his passing.

Actually it's about her sister. I once wrote down my interpretation that it was exactly like someone else just commented down below and I had a full story in my head, on a reaction of this song and got shit af, for not knowing about her sister. But it is always in the eyes of the interpretator if a video is being made, because she wouldn't have made it that way if it wasn't open for everyone to see what they see. Right❤

After Evanescence, my musical horizons extended to bands like Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, Epica, and many others that I couldn't even list here...They're so many, but, if you want to explore the rabbit hole that is Symphonic Metal, or female fronted metal, you could start with any of these three bands, maybe not necessarily in that order..😉 But, if you like Amy Lee's voice, Shavon, you definitely have to check the current singer of Nightwish, Floor Jansen... Just a suggestion... This particular song from Evanescence was introduced with their album Fallen, which I recommend you listen to in its entirety... The whole album is outstanding! Nice reaction, Shavon, and welcome to my favorite genre in rock! 🤟😀
