That one panel of Robin standing in a street in the cold rain really hit me hard. But the worst one is definitely the one at the cliff It's a perspective i wasn't sure would ever be tackled, I'm not even sure i ever thought of it to that extent but it's genuinely terrifying to reflect on

not only does this chapter made Robin's flashback and Ennies Lobby better, i also immediately remember the moment at the end of Alabasta, when Robin was bleeding out and accepted death under the collapsing tomb. with tears rolling down her face and a faint smile to hide her pain, she said "My dream has too many enemies..." . This chapter, absolutely destroyed me on so many levels, im crying, but not just because the gut wrenching sadness i feel for her, to see an 8-year-old child with no family, no friends, no place to call home, contemplating suicide, but also its the tears of happiness and relief, to know that all her hardship and perseverance was worth it in the end. and this is only just a reunion with an old friend, we're not even at the end of her dream yet and im already crying my eyes out.

This also is why it's so sweet that she's seen with Bonney as much as she has been. Bonney represents the childhood Robin had lost due to Ohara. There's a kinship she feels with Bonney where she can, in a way, live vicariously through Bonney's childlike wonder and awe at the world. Where now she too can be a child, esp now with the reunion with Saul. I'm excited what Oda has for the juxtaposition of these 2 characters

I read this chapter then watched one piece fan letter after it and have been crying since this story means More then anything I could possibly imagine and ONE PIECE just one of the best life decisions I ever made in my life I'm a recovering addict and there's been times where I felt like me puzzle piece didn't fit and I just wanted to end it all but one piece literally saved my life and after this chapter... I read the OP scans version at work when it dropped. Then read TCB at work the next day. It was a mistake both times. l find myself really loving Saul being alive because it makes Robin like the other Straw Hats in a quiet way: She has someone from her past rooting for her. Whenever we get updates from around the world we see Makino and Woop Slap in Windmill Village, Zoro's sensei, Kaya and the Usopp Pirates, Zeff and the Baratie crew, Nojiko and Genzo, Kureha, Iceberg, Crocus and Laboon, and I suspect we'll start seeing Neptune and his family. But we never see anyone from Robin's past because she had nobody. Now, going forward, we'll get a happy Dereshishishi in that lineup and I couldn't be more glad.

I’ve always been a proponent of Big Mom’s true ending being in Elbaph. The setup in WCI was too specific to not have her or her crew be there. She said she’d chase Luffy to the ends of the Grandline. I have always thought that she would be his first, full emperor solo battle.

I think it’s important to note that even though Saul lives amongst the giants it’s obvious that he has separated himself for some reason so your point about something being off about giants remains true. Even shanks seems to only hang out on the lower parts of war land

Another endearing feature of Robin is her dark sense of humor like when suggesting hypotheticals like the other straw hats going missing in the beginning of elbaph... It's reminiscent of someone who didn't have the friends to check those thoughts as a child... I feel like Robin has unlocked her true self in all aspects and will become even more powerful as she is the next straw hat to unlock her full awakening because she unlocked it already in my eyes

The parallels to Enel are interesting. Enel built a ship in order to fly to a place he thought of beeing paradise. Instead he moved away from the garden Eden and reached a place of knowledge. The Straw hats are in paradise and try to reach a place of knowledge with a flying ship.

There is a possibility Big Mom could show up. For one, the volcano that both her and Kaido fell into erupted and we never really saw what happened with all that lava, so it seems possible that's when at least she may have escaped. Next, I 100% agree with you on Gerd, she does seem sad, but accepting of what happened with Big Mom, but it opens up a story point for Big Mom to not only learn about what she really did, but also maybe even come to terms with it and find a way to still achieve her dream but in the right way and Gerd might be the person who knows the good side of Big Mom since she knew her before she gained her devil fruit. Also, I have no proof, but for some reason I feel like Big Mom has Buccaneer blood, which could explain why she is naturally so tough and why she was so large even as a child. It's crazy to think, but what if Big Mom finds redemption and one of her sons joins the Strawhats

I mean-- isn't this quite similar to how one can't come out of Whole Cake Island thinking that "finding the all blue" was ever really Sanji's true goal when everything about his backstory is about wanting a loving family? Maybe none of the Straw Hat's stated "dreams" are really ever what they truly wanted all along. We know that being Pirate King isn't actually Luffy's dream but he sees it as a way to achieve what he truly wants. How many others might have a difference between "this is what I thought I wanted" and "this is what I actually want"?

My thoughts & opinions of the chapter: 1. After reading the emotional reunion between Robin & Saul, I do hope Oda will not disappoint us when it's Luffy's turn to have his long awaited reunion with Shanks! Even though we still don't know if it will happen sometime in the Elbaph arc. 2. Now that the reunion has happened, do you think that the next chapters will give us some of the lore dumps we've been waiting. Specifically about Nika (& the other Gods in Noland's flashback), Vivi's ancestor and her final years, as well any other information that Vegapunk's message didn't offer until now.

Kureha is more similar to Frau Perchta in her “mountain witch” persona rather than the benevolent La Befana I think. Both are European Christmas season witches. Perchta disembowels the bad and lazy children, and I have little doubt Kureha could do that efficiently to little punks who pissed her off.
