Week 2 was quite honestly the greatest Sunday of NFL I've ever seen, choke after choke, improbable win after improbable win. A perfect example of Any Given Sunday! Doesn't matter if your team stinks on paper or looks good on paper, you have to play the game. You have the Browns choking, Ravens choking, Raiders choking, Packers looking like they were about to choke last night, Jimmy G's comeback, Herbert's injury during the back and forth game vs Chiefs, Pittsburgh possibly needing to switch to Pickett this early, Jax's shutout vs Matt Ryan's Colts, Giant's 2-0, Brady getting pissed off, Detroit not only favored in a game but winning it as well, Rams nearly choking a 28-3 lead to the Falcons only for the Falcons to Falcon, Super Bowl runners up lose to COOPER RUSH, and Denver not scoring a TD until the 4th quarter! It was as if the NFL was over compensating the most boring College Football Saturday ever, where only 3 ranked teams lost (2 of which vs ranked teams), had a hail mary ending by App State, NDSU losing a game to an FBS opponent, and that's about it Every other college game was a blowout of epic proportions. There is a reason why people still love the NFL

So I've been a Browns fan since 2017; I actually hopped on their bandwagon right after the 0-16 season, so between that and their general post-revival history, that sort of incompetent, embarrassing play was exactly what I came to expect - they call the Browns the Factory Of Sadness, and I guess I chose to embrace the sadness. When they made the playoffs in 2020 I was happy for them, but I knew it wouldn't last; I knew they would regress, because I had seen that movie before in the early-00s. But what was wild was that I actually had people, friends who followed football but who weren't fans of the team, doubting my prediction; telling me I was wrong and that the Browns were at last here to stay as real contenders. Suffice to say that 2 years later, they aren't doubting me anymore.

Quincy carrier had a nice analysis of the coverage. Jets ran a very similar play right before the big TD, and browns covered it with Cover 6. On the play of the TD, the offense lined up opposite of the way the did previously, and the defense ran cover six again, however, grant Delpit did not adjust, as the cover 6 was flipped from the previous play. He was on the side of the cover 6 that ran the cover 4 before, and stayed in the cover 4 zone when he should’ve adjusted to cover 2 and helped ward over the top.

The only other time we’ve blown a three-touchdown lead was 25 years ago in our second season, and the last 21-point comeback win in the fourth quarter in general happened twelve years ago.
