I've had my 2023 C8 for two months now. I still have to open the door in my garage just to check that it's really still there and not just a dream. I didn't get the 70th anniversary, but a 2lt with everything but the mag ride. It's my first corvette and I'm amazed every time I drive it.

Same here!!! Got my 2023 Stingray about a year ago. It’s my daily driver and my dream car. I am a car girl from being raised around car shows and antique cars. I feel the same way every time I go into my garage. Sure there are Italian cars that are more luxurious, but who the hell needs that much more power or cost just to pick up groceries lol! @@jafethgarcia4819 absolutely. Honestly you’ll want those. For parking, alerts when someone stops in front of you too fast, pulling out of your driveway and not being able to see. Congrats on your future C8. You’ll be so glad you bought one. Especially before they all go EV 🤢

@@jafethgarcia4819 omg yes. I have a convertible and drive it with the top off almost every time because of all of the blind spots. It’s kind of scary lol. The cameras are really great- I just don’t trust them or mirrors lol!

The C8 Stingray is the people's champion. Regular people like me can attain it with years of saving up, working on credit, and being frugal for a nice sized down payment, but it is possible. Out of every car in it's price point, I can't see a better bang for your buck and I'd be proud to own it.

It truly is by far the best car I have ever owned or driven for that matter. Your review was spot on but I do like the climate controls where they are. After driving for a while you would get accustomed to them as well I am certain. And the wife feels more like she is in control of her side. Thanks for the video.

It’s more than good, its a freaking unicorn! I honestly don’t know how GM pulled it off. Now no one has an excuse to buy a Lambo! I gave serious thought to buying the 2023 Huracan Tecnica but…. I love my 3LT Z51 way to much! Instead, I will be keeping it and adding a 2023 3LZ Z07 Pkg equipped Flat Plane Crank Monster next to it in the garage .

one comment, the hvac controls are in a great spot on that wall, without taking your eyes off the road you can adjust the temp or fan speed...etc. i was skeptical at first now after driving the car for a year its very intuitive! totally makes sense to be where it is.

@@dgaines5748 it's not a supercar, they make way too many of them, true supercars have a measure of rarity, 70,000 C8 corvettes is a joke, they are a sports car nothing else, and i'd be AMAZED to see one get under 3 seconds like GM claims. even modified C8's cannot get under 3 second 0-60 times. sorry chevy if you want to make a super car they cannot be cookie cutter cars owned by old men who drive them twice a month and made in the hundreds per day. A true american supercar would be the Ford GT, Acura NSX, etc. The ZR1 and Z06 would be better called a super car because they have some rarity to them. Plus these C8's are starting to show major transmission issues around the 20,000 mile mark, and actually made some worst car lists for other smaller issues related to quality control.

The only reason this isn't a "supercar" is because at the $65K entry point it is accessible to people, and one of the hallmarks of a true supercar is that they are inaccessible. To be clear, that is a CREDIT to this absolute artistry of a car. It was a dream car of mine since the C4 era. A dream finally come true April '22. :)

Great video, I have a C7 Grand Sport 2019 that is paid off. My local dealership has a beautiful C8 LT3 Anniversary Edition with the carbon fiber roof and wing - I have been going back and forth all week on trading mine in - I'm just not sure I want to pay the difference. Tough decision, the C8s are great - but also love mine.

Wow prices have dropped almost $30K in my area. Sales manger says a lot of people moving to higher performance evs which are much lower cost and have higher performance and better handling. Tesla is topping the list for high performance ev sales.

You need to try a launch control 0 to 60 run. It holds the rpm at 3,500 for the first gear launch. If you don't see that rpm as you are pressing the brake and preparing to let the brake go to launch, you are NOT in launch control. The results are amazing when you properly use it. It results in a MUCH harder kick in the seat than what you showed us. Great review. Thanks

I owned a BRZ and the C8 will be my follow on fun car. My only reservation is how numb the C8 may feel in comparison. Not many C8/American V8 sports car owners have perspective on compact Japanese sports cars nor do they cross shop them so your perspective and praise on both the GR86 and C8 ease my doubt and are greatly appreciated.

I've driven the c7 zo6 and the normal c8 stingray. And even though the c7 was a zo6, the c8 is just so perfectly built. The reason some people don't want to call the c8 "Americas sports car" is because it feels like something that has never been made in America before. Chevy's first mid engine car, and they killed it!!! It feels like a Ferrari yet somehow the handling feels more American.

FYI the previous generation C7 GS, and C7 Z06, and the C7 ZR1 handle way better than the base model C8. Matter of fact they set much quicker lap times than the C8. We have to wait for the Z06 version

It’s great but we all know this is just the base C8 and it will fall once the other higher models come. All corvette base cars are amazing when they first come out but, the Z06, grandsport , and Zr1 models are always the best models to own.

@@greenrush4313 the Z06 is (A LOT!) faster than the base C8. You’re just clueless you probably never went to any track or you’re just an average driver. A base C8 ran 7:29 at the Nurburgring and the new C8 Z06 is suppose to be a quicker than the C7 ZR1 that ran 7:04. That’s a HUGE difference. Once you do a 60 mph roll race side by side, that z06 is going to pull so quick that a base model will feel like it’s standing still.

@@greenrush4313 I’m 1709 on the list for a c8 z06. Yeah I think the c8 z06 will be the last gas naturally aspirated engine. I still want the c8 zr1 too, most likely it will be a twin turbo version of the z06. If you’re planning to get one for resell long term get in line for a Zr1

This car is definitely good but not as good as others make it but that’s a matter of opinion. Too each his or her own. It definitely isn’t up to Lamborghini, Ferrari, or Porsche standards. Maybe the Z06 is but the regular c8 no! Bang for the buck sure when the raised prices goes down. That’s what they’re known for.
